Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt was noisy from our room at night but I suspect this I common in this part of Athens as their are many lovely restaurants and bars nearby. Only recommendation would be for hotel to provide ear plugs.
Wonderful stay. The room was big and very stylish. Excellent bathroom. Perfect for design lovers like us. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff were amazing. Highly recommend. this was an incredible experience at a truly special, chic and well managed hotel. A great spot to start our trip in Greece.

United KingdomSuper hotel. Excellent location. Room was brilliant with a great view of the Acropolis. Breakfast was really good and served next to a square in Athens with mature trees all around. Clean, tidy, safe, and secure. The perfect hotel for a shirt break in this great city.

United KingdomWould have loved a toaster at breakfast...and a nicer fruit salad, the fruit salad very disappointing. A pity nowhere to sit outside with a book to rest for half an hour - yes small balcony but a roof terrace would have been perfect when resting between excursions.f
Our room had FABULOUS view! Sadly friends did not... Location excellent to walk everywhere from. Breakfast ok - no toaster! Shower brilliant! Staff exceptionally helpful accommodating brilliant on reception and v nice in restaurant

Guys, you should make your pet friendly policy on of the main features. I have never seen such a dog friendly hotel with so much welcoming of our furry friends. You was the only one hotel in Athens who was happy to welcome a dog regardless of the size. And all the rest was perfect, thank you all for the warm greeting and all the help you provided.

IsraelHotel is shown in the pictures as if it has a rooftop where hotel guests can lounge and enjoy the panoramic views of the city whereas in fact the rooftop is only part of the largest suite with no access to it. Breakfast was a bit luckluster in terms variety and quantity.
Location was outstanding with vicinity to essentially everything. Staff was really accommodating and hospitable. The view from the balcony of our junior suite to the acropolis was breathtaking.

MalaysiaFor the price you pay, there is not much facility in the hotel. Breakfast spread definitely can be improved.
The location is everything! So easy to get around central athens just by walking. The hotel is so close to monasteraki, plaka, ermu st and the agora. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat. The staff was so accommodating, and their service, especially at the reception, was friendly and fast. I chose this hotel because I wanted to get a quiet place in a central location, and this is very hard to find in athens. Luckily, this place is quiet, and even during the weekend, the noise level is acceptable for us to sleep, especially for my husband, who is easily disturbed by noise. Definitely recommend.

United StatesThe minifridge in my room wasn't cold and I couldn't figure out how to make it cold. There were lots of lights and light switches and it was hard to figure out which switches to use to turn them on/off!
Room was very nice! We were only there for 2 nights but it was plenty of space. The walk-in shower was nice and big with a bench to put our stuff. There was a small balcony too but I didn't use it. Staff was very attentive. Breakfast "buffet" was very European, but you could also order something hot off the menu. The hotel is close to the Acropolis but not on a driveable street (other than the crazy bikes/mopeds) so it was a little hard to get there in a taxi, but the bellhop came out to the street to wave us over to the hotel and help with our luggage.

United KingdomRecommendations for restaurants that serve vegetarian food was difficult to find.
Location was fantastic - all within walking distance of Athens highlights (Acropolis, Agora, Olympic stadium, Parliament). The area is buzzing with great eateries and bars and feels very fun and safe at night. Lots of fun independent shops in the neighbourhood. I had the acropolis view suite - luxurious and expensive, but saved money on not needing any taxis. Would like to come here again and bring my mother! Staff is friendly and helpful.

AustraliaThere's a bit of noise from the bustling streets downstairs but didn't really affect us. There's no parking right in front of the hotel, so the taxi has to stop approximately 20 meters away.
The location is very close to Acropolis. Can even see it from our room window. Very close to lots of restaurants and bars. Staff are very friendly. Hotel arranged for our taxi from the airport and it was uneventful.

IsraelEverything was excellent. There is not even one bad thing to say
Perfect hotel ! We travel a lot around the world. This is one of the best hotels we have visited. The most central location. Around the hotel there are restaurants, bars, shops. The hotel is close to everywhere we wanted to go. The breakfast is excellent and very tasty. The shower is spacious with a strong stream of water. The room is large and comfortable. The hotel is very clean. Modernly designed. What impressed us the most was the service of the staff. From the reception at the hotel, at breakfast to the maids. Everyone was so helpful. Everything we asked or wanted they gave excellent and tolerant service. Every day the maids asked if we needed anything extra for the room. They left us chocolates and a good day greeting. We had a very pleasant experience. We have no doubt that when we return to visit Athens in the future we will return to this hotel.
