Internet access via wifi was often very slow and sometimes did not work at all, but this did not bother us so much that we did not even report it.

We spent 12 days at Poseidon Apartments and had a wonderful holiday. The site is perfectly located, with four magnificent sandy beaches within a short distance. There are many good restaurants within a few hundred metres, but the immediate area is quiet and peaceful. It is less than 4 kilometres from the centre of Chania. We went for a walk there once, but if you don't want to walk, there are city bus stops next to the beaches. The pool is also a big advantage of the property. It is large (in the photos on booking.com it appeared smaller), and most of it is over 1.6 metres deep. The rooms are clean and well-equipped and are cleaned every day or every other day. I saw in an earlier review that someone complained that the flats are located on a hill, and access from the beach is difficult. I understand that for someone with very young children, this may be a problem, but for most, a 10-metre difference in level will not be an issue at all. The owner is very friendly and helpful; he is on the site daily and organised our taxi transfer from and to the airport and some additional excursions (such as a cruise to Balos Beach).

We didn't hire a car, so it's a bit of a trek ( with a baby) sometimes to the shops and to get breakfast.

The apartments are spacious, very clean and the pool is lovely. The location is near to lots of beaches. It's very peaceful and very pretty. Great value for money.

Kitchen is fine for preparing breakfast and simple meals, but wouldn’t be suitable for big meals - not a problem for us, but may be for others. Room was cleaned most days, but a couple of odd days it wasn’t and not sure why.

Beautiful location on a slight hill overlooking olive groves but also within 10 mins walk of several beaches and many restaurants. Can also walk into central Chania in about 45 mins. Apartment itself was a good size and our room benefited from two terraces which was great. Would recommend.

Poseidon apartments is located outside Chania, in Kato Daratso. Our apartment was good, large with a nice living room. Nice balcony where you can enjoy your meals. Parking available around the building. Nice swimming pool. Nice large shower. The area is OK and not too much traffic. The owner very nice and ready to help.

It took me a while to get used to the shower handle. The shower isn't large which make you sometimes bump into the handle which can make the temperature hot or cold. I blame myself ;-) Wifi is sketchy - but I don't mind that. Enjoy a digital detox on holiday.

The apartment was good value for money, clean and comfortable. Christos is very friendly and helpful. The location is good. It's close to 3 excellent beaches and Chania is in walking distance. It's also great for trips in the Chania area. Plenty of good restaurants in the area.

quiet location but still only 10 mins walk to beach and shops. clean. great family touches such as a lovely clean throw over the sofa, extra large super king bed and they set up a small camp bed in our room for our daughter. it felt quiet even though fully booked and there wasn’t any loud music, mainly small families or older people - a relaxed crowd

The apartments are clean and well set up. Our apartment had a balcony which was in the sun early morning and again in the evening, but not during the day which suited us perfectly, meaning we could eat lunch in the shade. The area around the pool was immaculate, well stocked with loungers and umbrellas, quiet and an added bonus was that it has its own toilets so we did not need to go back to the apartment. Christos is very helpful and around regularly if you did need help with anything. The short walk down to the excellent local restaurants in the evening is also a bonus.

Sound of roosters and dogs through the night. Once we started using the air conditioner we found it tended to block out the animal noises fairly well.

The apartment was a good size and in a beautiful location. As others have commented, the furnishings are a bit tired but completely adequate, with the views more than making up for the inside. It had been freshly painted. Found the bed both very comfortable and a decent size. Air conditioning kept us cool in the nights. The view from the balcony (room B2) was fabulous. It overlooked an olive Grove and out to the sea. In the mornings you had sun and in the evenings were beautiful sunsets. Shower was on the small side but always hot water. Our host was available every morning and we found him very friendly. A short 5 min walk to lovely beaches, 10 mins to a Lidl and other food shops, 40 min walk into Chania.

The kitchenette was a bit small, but we could make all the necessary meals and we were a family of 4!

Location was perfect, close to different beaches and necessary amenities (restaurants, supermarkets, etc). The owner, Christos, was amazing, he provided us al we needed, transfer from and to the airport. Anything we might need just sending a message and within minutes we got an answer. Couldn’t have asked for more! Big thanks to him! The pool seemed nice but honestly with so many great beaches we didn’t use it at all. The place was quiet and with great views. If I ever come back won’t doubt the place to stay!
