Very friendly host! The rooms are pragmatic but well-kept and clean. It's an ideal spot to be the first or last person at Preveli Beach but also the less famous beach in front of the hotel is a nice spot to relax.

We love the Preveli Beach - and the Palm Beach. This was our 3th time here. Asked for room 8 - which has an extra window west for even more view of sea and nature. The balcony is great for sea view. They serve great local food. I made the bed more comfortable with the wollen rug under the bed sheet - for more softness

GODZILLA and the staff! 😃 The location couldn't be better! The room wasn't fancy but adequate and comfortable. Considering how isolated this place was, it was helpful that they had a restaurant, too.

The owner Amalia has a big warm heart and helps you out any way she can. Room was private and comfortable. She even bought me food, because it was still off season and restaurant was not yet open! I couldn't open my room door at first, because my right arm is paralyzed, and you had to use both hands, but that problem got fixed the next day. The only thing that would have made me feel more comfortable is if the shower head would have stayed up. A hard thing for a one-handed person again 😉

Each and every member of staff at this small, family-run taverna was fantastic. Their good humour and kindness right at the end of Crete's long tourist season made our stay memorable.

Great location close to the nice beach and not far from Elafonisi beach. Elafonisi beach is 10 minut on foot. It is possible to have breakfast, lunch and diner in taverna Dionysos. Owners are very friendly. When you go to Elafonisi beach in the morning, you will be there alone, but later is the Elafonisi beach overcrowded.

The overall athmosphere at Dionysos Tavern & Rooms was very special and the nature surrounding the place is quite unique. Everything is family run and very relaxed and welcoming. Very good breacfast and overall value for money. We had a great view from our room.

Wonderful location in the middle of nowhere, one thousand stars visible at night. Very nice owners. Possibility to have breakfast and dinner on site at good prices.

Great location, at night you feel a bit at the end of the world with the sea in front of you and the mountains behind. You can see the stars so well at night. The staff is very friendly, nice food at the tavern and nice breakfast.

Nothing, the location is busy during the day but you have the beach to yourself come evening time or early morning after the day trippers have left. great for star gazing and Astrophotography, super dark sky with almost no light pollution.

Lovely clean, quiet room. The staff were very friendly - they didn't even ask who I was, so must have been ready for my arrival! Lovely breakfast after a very windy (and therefore sleepless) night. Great location to do the Preveli gorge hike, which sadly I couldn't do because of the wind, but I did get the beach all to myself as a reward.

This is the Greece we search for. Absolutely the perfect end for a fabulous vacation on Crete. Worth every hairpin turn. Amalia and her family make it very difficult to leave. Do not miss this spot and their taverna on your trip here. The sea was beyond any expectations my mind could conjure. Crete from 40 years ago is a blessing. We leave renewed

Having to drive away. Melancholy overcame me when we had to say good-bye. For me, Preveli with this tavern is the MOST BEAUTIFUL place on Crete.

The location is sensational and the facility is lovingly (flowers!) designed. The rooms have been equipped with kettles, sufficient coffee and refrigerators in recent years. otherwise there is everything you need for sleeping and showering. I even slept extremely well on the mattresses. Please do not expect a luxury suite. That's not even planned. You should only sleep here and spend some time on the balcony drinking coffee or beer or wine or raki). The food is delicious and the portions are more than adequate. But the absolute best thing about the tavern is the entire family (I'm including the "staff" here). I have seldom encountered such warm, hospitable, courteous and personable hosts.

We had a fabulous time here with a wonderful balcony view of the Libyan area and delicious food in the taverna below. the family running the place are long established and very entertaining. We would love to come back!
