How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Next time we will try a sea view room. We will also ask if they have a larger room...
The rooms are clean and basic. In a city like Thessaloniki you don't spend much time in your room. The location is far from the historic and touristy center but it is still walking distance to the White Tower. This is why we choose Queen Olga. We love the walk along the promenade wth the beautiful view of the city and the sea. The breakfast is good value for money. It's fresh and sufficient. Don't expect any "fancy" stuff! Parking is a problem in the city but Queen Olga provides a parking spot for 10 euros a day. That was a great service. We love everything about Queen Olga Hotel. Especially the friendly staff...

Minor dislike was that the shower was small with a curtain that stuck to you.
Very clean and comfortable beds. The hotel doesn’t try to be something it is not. For the money it was a great hotel with a good view, friendly staff and everything you need.

There was not a sound isolation and so I could hear the noises next room. The shower was vey narrow. And the toilet flush system worked very hard. You need to press hard to flush.
The staff were so helpful and they could speak both English and my native language, Turkish. The hotel was located very close to the coastal area. It is located in the centre of Thessaloniki. So, it was easy to visit different historical places, museums in the city. The hotel is also very close to the bus stops and it is easy to get to a taxi.

It would be better if there are apartments. We were 3 visitors and I booked a triple room: it would be suitable for younger people. An apartment is comfortable for 3-4 people.
This time the room was at the last floor, thus there were no noises from neighbors.

Some of the previous clients smoke inside the room, there was still tobacco smell inside. There were issues with internet in the evening. There was no hot water during the day, small issues with the shower. The check-in is set to 15:00. The rooms need some renovation.
Very good location. Easy access to the hotel, it is located very near to the center. Lots of facilities near the hotel. I've been permitted to check-in 1 hour earlier.

location. entry was on the side of building, so hard to access from street but they can open gate if you tell them so car can enter side street

I didn’t like the small elevators. The television was a bit small. The absence of balcony furniture. Finally, pre-COVID, it had an excellent bar/lounge to the right of the reception with giant screen tv which wasn’t open anymore.
Room was good. Location is central and only minutes from the coast/sea. The breakfast was very good for the money. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the years. I didn’t hesitate to book this hotel.

Breakfast was a little unimaginative, there was room for improvement
The hotel is right in the centre of the city and it had its own underground carpark which was wonderful. My room had a balcony, but the view was only as far as next door. The shower was excellent. TV even had BBC World news.

Everything was perfect in the hotel
Staff are amazing you can call them from inside and they attend to anything you say to them !!! Definitely booking them again !! 😊😊beautiful rooms clean and very tidy shower soaps and hand soaps smells Devine !! Sadly didn’t stay for long was meant to stay for 2 night but did one and stayed to the next afternoon and left ! Staffs are brilliant !! Definitely recommend

Excellent location with only meters to the sea the hotel is a great place to walk to the historic town. The retro style gives good romantic vibes, the staff are very friendly. Very good budget hotel to explore the city.
