Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BulgariaApart from the location everything else was a real and complete disappointment, it was a total disaster indeed. No internet, no hot water (not even warm), no shampoos whatsoever, no cleaning, no dinner on one of the days (when there was such the organisation of breakfast/dining was a total failure), though it was included in the price. I think it's a shame for booking to list such offers, the incompetence of the staff and misery of the accommodation is below any criteria. Definitely NOT recommended! If I could, I would submit a negative score, even zero is too much of a rating for the services of this "hotel" ...

United StatesThe check in was in a different building. No hotel services. No mini bar or water. No sea view, despite what we were told on booking. The meals were serve yourself buffet style with no gourmet options. The dinner service closed at 9:00pm and the lights were rudely turned off. The food was plentiful but kind of basic. The all inclusive bar had limited selection of liquor.

North MacedoniaThe laundry should be done better. The new changed towels do not smell very clean. There was no Internet in the rooms and very poor Internet in the public area. The breakfast was too basic and same every day. The serving of meals was too slow due to lack of staff, which made the restaurant too crowded during Coronavirus period.
The place right on seaside, the facilities are ok, the beach is very nice. The place is quiet and perfect for family vacation.
