Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandDefinitely not a 5 stars hotel. Staff at the reception very rude (the only exception was an Asian guy, super kind). The spa is paid, and quite expensive. The room cleaning was poorly made. I had a problem with the safety box and they could not save that on the same day as it was Sunday (apparently there is not experts on safety box available on Sundays, so I could not access my belongs). In case you need to iron your clothes, have in mind that its almost a miracle to have an iron available.
Beach, location good, easy to rent a car

United StatesWe booked a room and since traveling with our service dog they moved us to another room which was fine. In the new room the sofa bed was broken, and when we were able to open it the mattress was dirty. We called to the front desk they sent house keeping to bring two cots. I did not order a room with cots. The sofa was broken as I said where we had to turn the cushions around so we could sit on it. They said they were going to replace it and we were there for 10 days and it was not replaced. The air conditioning was not working well after the third day of being uncomfortable they sent maintenance up and he fixed it. It is advertised they have a refrigerator in the room for use, then upon arrival there is a sign stating use is prohibited. They advertised mini kitchen there were scarce utensils to use and we had to buy a sharp knife and mixing bowls. The amenities were beautiful to look at but we felt discouraged to use.
The property was absolutely beautiful to “look” at. The location to the beach and availability to go places was great. The evening entertainment was amazing, great feature please don’t stop that, maybe add a mid week Greek night instead of just once a week.

IsraelI took the Promo All-Inclusive package and I will say that there were disappointments with my stay at the hotel Rodos Palace. The hotel itself looks well maintained and the room I was in was relatively clean, but way too big for a solo traveler. It was more like for a family. Also, the room was far from the main building (about a 5-minute walk) and that was inconvenient. But I guess that is where they put all of the “promo reservations”. If you’re thinking of booking at this hotel, think twice. You may want to the executive suite. I was disappointed that a 5-star hotel didn’t include water bottles in the room or a piece of chocolate on the pillow or even a thank you card for “staying with us”. That is something I expected and Rodos Palace DID NOT deliver. The all-inclusive deal which includes 3 meals a day was nice and I will say there was variety, but it was repetitive. Every day, the same food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I expected changes in the menu. The performances in the evening were mediocre at best. So, if you’re planning for some entertainment of some kind during your stay, go outside. I was disappointed that the game room and gym were extra charge. I understand if the spa is extra, but for a 5-star hotel, I was shocked. Other than all of the above, my stay was OK and the score I give reflects how I felt for the 4 nights I was there. If you’re planning to stay, beware of some disappointment. Final note for Rodos Palace management, I have an idea for you (free of charge). If you have solo travelers staying with you, try organizing a “Single’s Night” or “Solo Traveler’s Meet&Greet”. This can be a great way to meet other fellow travelers. For breakfast/lunch/dinner, designate a section for just solo travelers. BE PROACTIVE in your guest’s overall stay, unless they say otherwise. I hope this helps to anyone who wishes to stay at this hotel.

United KingdomA lot of walking between Executive room to dining facilities. Would have liked to have breakfast in a smaller venue, less noisy nearer to Executive rooms. Enjoyed breakfasts outside at the Terrace restaurant. Found the roaming flashing lights in the Dome very distracting when watching shows.
Position, close proximity to the beach, restaurants, shops. Easy to get to RhodesTown. Pleasant, green outside areas well maintained.

AustraliaWe were giving a room that was not renovated. And when we booked the photos clearly made it look like we were getting a new room. I suggest if you book this hotel messaging the hotel and asking for a lower price for a non renovated room or to make sure you get the new room. The non-renovated rooms were still nice and very clean though just not what we thought we were booking
Family friendly and facilities were good.

United KingdomThe front desk staff were very rude, but I noticed this was only with the female staff. I expressed my dissatisfaction with my room, which I asked for a double bed, as I was travelling with my child. The hotel front desk staff, demonstrated they didn’t care at all, and I was asked by one female staff “Why am I so upset” which showed her lack of empathy for my situation. Not to mention that the check was at 3 pm, although online, it’s at 2 pm. I didn’t receive my room until 4:15 pm. Keep in mind that I arrived at the hotel at 1 pm. The next day I wanted to speak to the manager. When I arrived at the front desk, I asked for the manager (she was present at the time but walked off when one of the young girls spoke in their language, keep in mind they both spoke English). After 5 or 10 minutes, she returned, and it was clear she would not help. The only resolution was for the two single beds to be pushed together…this is how was spent the next five nights. So, in short, I was not too fond of the female font deck staff. They were all dismissive, and all looked like they didn’t want to check me in or out, but that could be because I was a woman of colour. The male front desk (older gentleman) was lovely. All staff who were friendly received a tip. But I feel like if you’re unhappy or racist, you should not be working in a hotel as all kinds of people will come and stay, and your negative energy and outlook can affect one experience. My experience was better when I decided not to visit the front desk. Ps. I’m now back home, and I have yet to receive the iron that I requested—the hotel's lack of accountability.
Lovely location with great views and lots of throngs to do.

United KingdomIt’s a large hotel and extremely busy. Queues at the lifts all the time. The rattan furniture around the outdoor pool needed replacing as some pieces were broken with no cushions. The indoor pool also needed new resin furniture and serve coffee and tea. It currently is laid up with conference tables and chairs. The floor around the pool is coming up and badly needs replacing.
We had booked superior rooms which had been refurbished overlooking the sea. The indoor pool was an advantage when the weather was too hot.
