Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesFriendly and very helpful front desk staff across shifts. Welcome bottles of wine were much appreciated - we enjoyed a glass or two in the rooftop sitting area and enjoyed watching the Old Town light up in the evening. Breakfast was delicious with good variety of options. Excellent location for exploring inside the city walls and close to San Francisco gate for taxi pick up/drop off. Will return!

Location was amazing inside the old town. Bedroom was a good size with modern facilities. Breakfast was fabulous, sitting in the courtyard. Staff were efficient and extremely friendly. Special mention to michael and the young girl (sorry didn’t get your name) serving breakfast.

United StatesThis was our second stay in this hotel after a three-day drive around the island. The owner put us in a charming suite that had architectural elements several hundred years old for this two-night stay. The rooms were decorated with antiques and we had a hot tub. We so enjoyed chatting with her. It was like coming home again.

United StatesFor a longer stay we found the bed uncomfortable. We were there like 6 nights. They DID actually get a new matress for our room after I mentioned it was uncomfortable. Such lovely people. A great experience if you want that Old Towne feel.
The staff were very helpful and did everything they could to comply with requests for us...they even brought me ice one night. We had a fridge in our room, it was very clean and the breakfast was very nice in a lovely courtyard. They always provided good information, helped us get a rental car. Is conveniently located if you would like to leave the old city, not too far from an exit/entrance by foot. Our Taxi could drive us in with luggage...amazing drivers!!

United KingdomWe have nothing to put here.
Breakfast was cooked to order every morning. Fresh orange juice and coffee were always available at that time.. We were able to vary the breakfast time according to our plans for the day. This was taken in the spacious outdoor courtyard. Our room was amazing, full of historical detail: more like a suite than a room, with an outdoor area overlooking the courtyard. Whilst at this time, the only meal available is breakfast, this is not a problem as the hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the numerous bars and restaurants of the old city. Yet, it still manages to be a tranquil location. Marianne was constantly on hand to provide advice and information about places to go, restaurants to try and so on. Standards of cleanliness were excellent. If we return to Rhodes, we would automatically look to return to S. Nicolis Hotel.

United StatesAs I suspected, the room was lacking natural light, although it had lots of beautiful lighting fixtures; view onto tiny shared courtyard, so bit of tricky with privacy.
Ideal location in quiet part of old town. Room in the Medieval Annex was very atmospheric, large, with carved metal four poster bed, timber ceiling, old stone walls. Main hotel, courtyard, etc extrenely old and charming. Superb breakfast!! Lovely staff including the owner.

AustraliaCentrally located this small heritage hotel is charming. The staff and owner Marianne provided outstanding, friendly service. An excellent breakfast is provided in a leafy courtyard. Our bathroom was recently renovated and the shower had plentiful hot water. It’s quiet with a lovely roof top garden and views across the town. We will be back.

AustraliaWe loved our stay.
Very comfortable room (most comfortable bed we had in all of Greece). One of the best breakfasts in Greece - lots of choice. Marianne went above & beyond to make our stay an absolute pleasure. Great location - close to everything but you feel that you can escape the busyness of the hoards of cruise ship people. We loved staying at S.Nikolis & would definitely stay again.

United KingdomAgain only stayed the one night but nothing to complain about.
Only stayed the one night but really impressed with this hotel. Very cute place with loads of character whilst remaining modern where needed. Owners were lovely, were talking to them for a while about the history of the place and went through plans for expansion, they left champagne in our room for my partners birthday which was a very nice touch and very much appreciated. THE BREAKFAST! Amazing choice on the menu of which you get to select 2 food and 2 drinks options. Food was very nice and set inside their courtyard which was a beautiful way to start the morning. Had ideas of what to expect from the photos but they do not do it justice from when you actually get there. The entrance is beautiful set inside the old town a stone throw from a lot of restaurants and bar. Really really pleasantly surprised by this place cannot recommend enough!

SwitzerlandNo babyseat but if you use the stroller for the breakfast, the personal will help you with the stairs :)
Personal was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent and fresh made you could chose from bread, various egg dishes, fresh fruits, yogurt options and the juices were fresh pressed. The room is medieval and we felt like time traveller. It is very lovely original decorated. The location is good to explore the oldtown but also near an entry to "new" rhodos. It is like 5 minutes walk from a parking to the hotel.
