How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The only criticism we had was the slight lack of privacy with the set-up of the shower and bathroom. We managed, but a screen of some sort between the bedroom and shower area would make it easier.
S Hotel is a beautiful property, in a perfect location. The hotel is spotless and everything from the comfortable beds, to the room controls has been meticulously thought out for the convenience of the guests. The staff are fantastic and the restaurant food and in room dining delicious and reasonably priced. A fabulous place, highly recommended!

The hotel has no panoramic view, it faces restaurants and a block of flats. Our suite (room 103 )was dark. We had to change it
We liked its perfect location, proximity to the shopping and restaurants area , spacious comfortable room, food , wines , and of course- the hotel’s personnel

Exceptional hotel. Very helpful staff. Catered for our gluten free requirements. As we had to leave early on 2 days they prepared take away breakfast box, this was very helpful especially since one of us is coeliac. A very abundant and varied breakfast. Location very good in the centre but Jima quiet area. Will definitely go again and recommend the hotel.

Elegant hotel, Location within few minutes walk of all major attractions and 2 minutes from seaside walk to see the beautiful sunset views, cleanliness, friendly staff, spacious rooms, very good breakfast, lots of good restaurants in close vicinity

Clean , aesthetic, quite , elegant , minimal , all polite staff willing to help you. For a hotel that is in the center is extremely well soundproof .

We struggled with the aircon and woke at 1am/2am with the air very warm and stuffy. I thought that I am doing something wrong as the aircon goes on when the lights are on, but then after a while when the lights are off it stops working again. I should have asked for help earlier, but felt stupid that I can't manage a simple aircon panel. When I did phone the reception on the 3rd night at 2am they told me that I must inform them if the aircon must remain on and they switched it on again. Such a relief as I did not want to sleep with an open sliding door to the balcony. The light panel next to the bed is like a night light and I had to use a pillow to cover it at night as it made the room too light. A cover would be nice.
We loved our stay at this very centrally located hotel. The breakfast was great with the option of adding a hot breakfast to the buffet selection. The service was fantastic with the staff both friendly and professional. The hotel is either fairly new or renovated and very well looked after. We liked the look and feel of the hotel too with the lovely glass floor in the bar/dining/breakfast area showing archeological findings from 4 AD to the Ottoman rule.

Our room was comfortable but our double bed was on the small side at 160cm wide. The noise insulation was good but at times insufficient.
The hotel’s location is excellent for those who want to enjoy downtown Thessaloniki for its restaurants and bars, main museums and the promenade. The breakfast is also rich, well prepared and presented, and made of quality ingredients. The staff is professional and keen to assist.

Our room was on the sixth floor we did have so little noise from the street and restaurants below. Keep in mind that It is possible to have more sound if you stay in the lower floors. Parking is 30 euro per day if you want hotel stuff to park your car but there are car parks close to hotel so you can park your car there cheaper like 15 euros.
The location is great, the room was clean and nice. The stuff is really friendly. The breakfast is also really nice.
