A bit far from the bus station for walking in the heat and/or with luggages.

Cheap and close to the airport and the beach.

George is a great guy. We booked a taxi very early in the morning (5.30 AM) that never came. I woke him up. He kindly drove us to the airport.

We where woken up and asked to move beds on our last night which was an inconvenience.

George was a warm and hospitable host. A nice atmosphere walking distance from the beach and bus to the centre of heraklion. There's a kitchen and the communal toilets and showers where clean and good🤸‍♀️

If u didn’t rent a car, it will be exhausting. But in general u need a car if u have the hotel/hostle outside of Heraklion sooo I recommend u to rent a car before u arrive to Creta, because most of them are already rented in the high season.

The owners was really helpfully and friendly. The room was also very cleaned and we was able to check in earlier. Because that hostel was about 10 minutes far away by car from the center/ port/ airport (Heraklion) so the owners offered us to drive us there and get us back for €10 the way.

Room door knocking due to the wind.

Nice place for a short stay near Heraklion Airport. Friendly host provided us with transfer (€15 extra). Regular hostel with good internet connection. If you travel with family you can book a separate room.

Cleaning was very poor in the floors and bathrooms, but still in the standards of a hostel. The location of the structure is close to the sea, but very far from the bus stop for the center.

The owners were very welcoming. In our case we received a fairly comfortable private room. We were provided with clean towels. We were provided with a fan for the night.

The only thing which bothered me a little bit was the Highway Not Too far away,but when the Windows are closed you dont hear anything. Anytime I will return again.

George called me already in Germany to tell me that He wanted to pick me up.at the Airport. I really apreciated that. If you have any Problems Just Talk to George the owner, He will try His best for you.

Within 15 mins of booking this hostel, I received a message from the owner saying he could collect us from the airport for €15 to which I replied that we were in a different part of Crete and would be arriving by bus. I asked where the nearest bus stop was and he responded, saying it was 1km away; he did not offer to collect us from the bus stop. Upon arrival, we were met by another guest who said the owner would be here in 10 mins, however; he could show us to our room which he did. About 15 mins later, George introduced himself to my partner in the kitchen and then to me as I walked into to say hello. He asked me to fill in a form with my details and passport number which I proceeded to do. As I went to enter my partner's information, he shouted abruptly saying he only needed the details of the person who made the booking. I told him I had put both our names on the booking, hence entering my partner's details but he insisted it was only the lead person's details required on the form. My partner and I were shocked at George's tone and demeanor. Having settled in, I asked George if it would be possible arrange to transport for us to go in to Heraklion City centre; George said he could take us but it would cost €20. I told him it was fine, that we'd take the bus from the main road which we easily did. The journey took all of 10 to 13 minutes on the bus and cost less than €5 for us both. The hostel itself is situated 1 km away from the main street and adjacent to a dual carriage way. There is a supermarket and some restaurants on the main street and the beach is approx a 25 minute walk away. George lives in one of the rooms in the hostel. We had use of the kitchen which had all the essentials, (cooker, fridge, utensils and cutlery). We were given a small bath towel and a beach towel to use during our stay between both of us for 2 nights.

The owner is a really nice person. The location also isn't too bad, I don't mind walking from the bus stop to the hostel. The only huge problem about this was when it became dark. There was almost no lights and I was really scared and feeling unsafe. Main issue why I would not recommend this place to anyone is because of the kitchen state. It was really disgusting. Someone should clean the fridge, give new towels and invest in paper towels. Also other guests were leaving unclean dishes in the sink. Besides that great place, wifi was really good. I'm an English tutor and I conducted few sessions there. I would come back if someone would take care of the kitchen

I didn’t like how there was no lock on the door. But that would be the only complaint. Would like to mention that no one entered the room that wasn’t supposed too

I liked how it was a very good value for its price! Was the cheapest hostel I’ve seen in all of crete. Very clean, good people, good host. Definitely would recommend. The owner also dropped me off at the airport while he was going into town. So nice would definitely go back.

The air was stuffy - my friend had trouble sleeping from it. A bit dark and remote to get there - especially since Booking does not give the right directions (gets you 1km away from actual destination), hence make sure to type the name on google maps.

Close enough to the airport but def need a taxi or car to get there. Large and spacious rooms , clean. Adequate shared kitchen. George was great - took us to the airport in the morning for a decent fee!

You can walk to Karteros beach good , or by car or bus go to more far away beautiful beaches or beach bars at nights. I have booked just 2 nights but I stayed till the end of my vacay. Although place is still in improving phase owner and stuff are friendly and extremely helpful. Having breakfast and dinner in garden while chatting with other guests was beautiful experience.

Staying in this hostel is a good way to connect with people and make new friends from different parts of the world. The value for the price is impressive. The proximity to a beautiful beach is a bonus, and its location near the airport adds to the convenience.
