Nothing. Some people mention the partially-paved road but we didn’t have a problem at all (and we were in a 1L VW Up!)

Stunning views from the room, pool and kitchen/lounge area. Great breakfast, lovely cocktails, friendly staff and good recommendations for local restaurants & things to do. Amazing night sky for stargazing (saw shooting stars every night).

The road is difficult if you’re not used to driving on curvy, gravel mountain roads. It is not fully paved and only the portion near the hotel has lights, so it’s especially difficult at night. Hotel staff told us that the reason it’s not fully paved and lit is an issue with the municipality. It’s quite far from everything, so you’ll need a car to get around. The bathroom is in need of a deep clean, especially in the shower where there was mold in the corners. Lastly, the door to the room was confusing and difficult to lock. The housekeeper did not lock it after cleaning. We had to ask staff the following day how to lock the door and Vasilis was very helpful in explaining how to do it and apologized that the other staff member who checked us in did not properly orient us to the room. It’s on a hill and you’re in nature so expect bugs. We had an issue with ants but the housekeeper didn’t have any bug spray. This place is a gem in the making just in need a few improvements to make it fantastic overall.

Another reviewer said it perfectly - it’s not for everyone. The property is remotely situated on a hill, as described. I truly enjoyed that it was so quiet and peaceful, a true retreat from the stress of life, though this may be a con for some. The view is stunning and the sunset view is incredible. Vasilis had a very calming energy and was helpful during our stay.

The room was not as clean as we would have hoped. The previous occupant’s rental car documentation was in the room. The toilet had a half used roll of toilet paper when we got there. There was hair in the shower and the bathroom shower gel was half used. Location wise it is very remote - but we knew this when booking so it didn’t bother us.

The facilities and setting are beyond gorgeous. Vasili goes out of his way and is the reason we have rated the property so highly. He went above and beyond for us and made our stay an absolute pleasure. We had an issue with the air con and he arranged to have it fixed within 24 hours. He is the best!

The road up the hill to the property is quite tricky, the elevation is very high and two cars don’t fit easily in two directions. Not for beginner drivers Water in the pool was a bit cold Due to summer conditions there were a lot of insects entering the room, mostly crickets and ants. Couldn’t leave the door open because of that, but not a big issue Would be great if dinner was also available for ordering at the location, as they have such a nice view facilities

Rooms were spacious and decorated in a light mediterranean style. The view from the top of the hill is breathtaking! The staff were very warm and welcoming, especially Vasilis. He made our stay much more enjoyable Breakfast was amazing, best we’ve had in a long time, all vegetarian They also had good and stable internet, which is not always the case in such remote locations.

They did not clean the room nor changed the towels for 3 days. It is not a big deal but, after all, it is not a cheap place.

At the top of a windy hill. Bear in mind that it is cold in the evening. Breakfast as an option is good.

The lighting in the room could be better. I would suggest adding a small lamp. Also, it would be nice if the property offered some dinner.

Absolutely nothing. To us it was perfect and just what we needed.

This place is by far our best find on the island. It offers a mixture of fantastic views, comfortable facilities and the best hospitality. Vassilis, remember this name, because this will be the person who will create the best holiday vibe for you. Thank you once again. We will definitely come back a 3rd time after the amazing treatment you showed us and great job on the extra services you started offering. Next time I’m booking a massage with a view!

A little strange - the 10 young people at the pool on arrival. They were not guests so unsure what they were doing there? They were pleasant, so really no issue. Just strange them being there. WOULD LOVE in our room, a coffee (tea) making machine.

What a little secret. It was worth the zig-zagging up a bumpy dirt road to finally arrive at this stunning location. They warmly greeted us, offered a cold drink, then showed us to our private location. WOW! so very beautiful. We loved the day bed that could be moved outside to enjoy in comfort the stunning views. The bed was very comfortable, great airconditioning, and a gorgeous shower with window with a view out over the Ionian Sea. Breakfast was wonderful each morning with lovely hot coffee. We loved the music playlist giving a relaxed ambiance. As for the pool and the seating/lounging area. Fabulous.

The shower in our room needs renovation/changing. Last year, the place offered dinner - this year, only breakfast. It is good to have a dinner.

It's the best view that you can ever see. Small and butiùe - there are only six houses. The manager/host Vasilis is a real benefit of this place - he keeps a very positive vibe and is very kind and helpful. Excellent vegetarian breakfast.

The rough road up the hill could be better but it’s not the worst for Greece.

Outstanding location with great view of the Ionian Sea. Each bungalow is private with only a view of the trees and the sea. Truly special and chic. Great breakfast and drinks around the pool. And the sunsets…

Best accommodation I have ever been to! First off all the location is a piece of heaven! I could just stare at sea, with my bestie, and I call it perfect. It was our perfect last minute gateway! Second of all, the staff is the best mannered, kind, smiling and there for your every wish! Thank you Vasilis and Nikol for everything you do every day! A rare find these people! Happy also we met Sun, the Secret Hill pet friend, adorable! Last but not least, the FOOD is tasty, delicious, healthy, large portions and made with all his passion. Daniel, you are the best Chef! Coming back in October!

Absolutely nothing not to like there.

We spent our honeymoon at Secret Hill. We were amazed by the view and the whole facility. The staff welcomed us like old friends and made our stay so welcomed. Our room and the view were excellent, and we made a promise to ourselves that we would celebrate every 5th year anniversary at Secret Hill.

Small detail, some more flexibility on breakfast time wouild be great. We came 15' late for breakfast and were no longer able to get breakfast, which was a pity.

Great location, great view and sunset. Nice, clean and quiet rooms with comfortable beds. Great service in particular in the evening e.g. whilst Secret Hill does not provide dinner, the staff made sure we could order in from a restaurant closeby, which was great after a long day of travel. In general it would be great to have small dinners at the hotel, the setting and sunset over the sea are just magnificent from the hotel.

I had an absolutely incredible experience! It was simply perfect in every way! The views were absolutely breathtaking. The actual beauty matched the pictures flawlessly, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Not to mention, the breakfast was a true feast for the eyes!

We admit it is very difficult for us with this review in light of the reviews written here, but this is our experience and impression of the place. We have been traveling in Greece for years and in terms of the place itself it is one of the most special and stunning we have visited. The location and the view are crazy and the site itself is amazing with a beautiful pool that lies on the cliff facing the great ocean. The potential of the place is huge but there are several weak points that seemed strange and bothered us. The rooms are lovely but not as well equipped as you would expect in a place like this. There is no way to make coffee, there is not enough shading and masking for the curtains and strong light penetrates the room in the morning and wakes you up early, there are no bedside tables, cups or a device for brushing your teeth, there are no safes and it seems that the place is missing some things that are quite basic these days. Going up to the place with a car is challenging but possible and illuminated at night because it is an unpaved road. The weakest parts of this place was the service itself. The hosts in charge were very helpful and kind but the staff who maintain the place are very slow and this is reflected in the breakfast that is served very late (served between 9-11 but in practice not served before ten) and all kinds of other small details that you would expect to have in a place like this but it doesn't happen, it's a real shame because The place has tremendous potential!
