How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Bed very hard and uncomfortable for me. But very individual. And if room renovated along with all the others I imagine there will be a new mattress.
Rooms under extensive renovation. Looked like close to finish with modernised functional comfortable design. My comments will be largely irrelevant very soon. But kind helpful staff. I was lucky to be given a room on the third floor. Light sunny with balcony and wide outlook over the trees around the old walls stadium and quiet suburbs. Clean room. Good wifi. Excellent value for money. Location fine. Just a short walk to all main historic sites. And about 20 min to central airport bus stop.

It was a little bit noisy, just other guests out in the corridor. The shower was one thing that could be easily fixed, it was so high up that it sprayed the wall behind instead of me, so I had to hold it to shower myself.
It was affordable and comfortable and in a lovely part of town. It was easy to walk down to some beautiful beaches from there. The bed was comfortable and the staff were so lovely and helpful.

At first I did struggle to get in with the buzzer system but they let me have the code to come and go which was great.
Superb breakfast, excellent friendly super helpful staff. Extremely handy for the port and the old town. A fabulous restaurant nearby (4 Rodies). Lovely view to the port from my balcony. Spotless.

City hotel in a nice Greek residential area.Limited views on the 3rd floor..
A one night stayover before continuing with our island hopping vacation.The hotel is situated in a quiet suburban part of Rhodes and satisfied our needs, at the time.Hotel reception staff first class.Room not overly large but big enough for two .All in all an ok sort of place and reasonably priced.

Located just outside the old town near the port. A quiet mainly residential area which we liked. We were upgraded to a sea view room which was very kind but this meant we didn't get sun on the balcony.

WC/bathroom was very old and felt very dirty. It was also very tight in there, which didn't help at all in feeling comfortable and clean. Bedroom: there was a stain on the table, apparently from the previous persons drink.. how could you ever feel comfortable in this room when you see that something as obvious as wiping the table was not done.

There were dirty glasses in the room, turned upside down when I went to use one I looked inside they were all sticky.
I liked the helpful friendly staff and the location was close to the port where we got off the ferry.

The mattress on the bed needs replacing. The bathroom also needs some attention, old grouting in the tiles and a leaky shower screen.
The hotel was in a good, quiet location just outside the city walls. Breakfast was great. All the staff were very helpful especially when I needed to see a doctor.

AC hard to manage. The bathroom floor was very wet after shower. Danger of slipning.
We had a room with balcony with a view of city and sea. Nice breakfast in the morning. Good location near harbour and beach. Walking distance.to old town of Rhodes

Rooms are rather small. If you have more than one suitcase you’ll have trouble finding somewhere to put it. The bathroom we had, had a harsh sewage smell coming from it the whole time we were there, we believe it was coming from a panel in the wall.
Staff was very friendly and, complementary breakfast was good with fresh fruit and espresso, good value for the price of two nights.
