Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy only gripe really is that the all inclusive literally meant the food and the pool. Anything else was extra e.g. to play tennis it was 10 Euros (and with bent rackets and balls that didn't bounce), the pool table was 2 Euros a go. Also, they shut the main pool at 6pm which I think is a bit early in the height of summer
The food was excellent, the staff were very helpful and the pools were good (and clean).

GermanyWe didn't enjoy the food very much but I guess it is a matter of taste. For us a lot of the soups were far too salty, a lot of the foods were very oily and all in all you could really feel that it was "all inclusive" food and does not have the same quality as restaurant food. If the food were improved, it would be the perfect hotel for us.
Clean hotel, nice staff, good beaches nearby, clean pool, entertainment schedule every evening.

DenmarkNice family and kids friendly hotel. The staff were helpful and very accommodating. Location was good too, Chania city 10mins by taxi, and there's a beach within 5-10mins walk. Different cuisine theme every day 👍There is also a mini market inside the village hotel and it was a plus for us 👌

MaltaAll inclusive package - soft drinks are included but are the local ones - not the real coca cola. The cocktails included in the all inclusive - nothing special. To go to our room there was a flight of stairs and some more stairs since it was 1st floor. Should indicate whether we want to choose ground floor or 1st floor. Too much heat in restaurant. No air condition and not much fans. Umbrellas should be bigger. For more shade Too many children with all kinds of swimming lilos, tyres etcc in All the pools. No long mirror in room. Hotel is quite close to a bus stop but going to old town you have to go down the road for the bus stop and obviously coming back you have to come up the road from bus stop to hotel. If you dont walk much it will be difficult to walk in the sun. Same for the closest beach. It is down the road from hotel. Only 10 mins walk. But coming back road is quite steep.
The resort is nice. Food is very good. Food and drinks all day

HungaryQuality of drinks is low, especially "juices" and soft drinks. Some of the staff has a passive-agressive attitude that makes you feel that they despise you.
Superb room, modern, stylish, with a balcony facing the children's pool and even some sea view in the background. Great beach nearby. Excellet food quality, great selection, with changing thematics for dinner. Freshly baked pizza and gyros all day. Clown performance was exceptional.

Finland- While they were clean and functioning, general facilities and particularly the rooms were very outdated and in need of a refresh. Some rooms/areas have already been renewed, so it's a bit of a hit and miss and, in our case, we were in one of the rooms in the old main building. As a positive side of this, our room had a sea-view. - Drinks were of really poor quality. During the meals, all juices were powdered drinks with no resemblance to any fruit juice. While freshly squeezed juices are not expected, at least the regular bottled drinks could be served. On the alcohol side, the wines and spirits (random brands of gin, rum, vodka) were of low quality. - Room cleaning was only done every second day. In a seaside 4-star hotel, daily cleaning would have been appreciated. - Children playground, located near the swimming-pools, was closed (fenced) during our stay and it seemed to be in a semi-abandoned condition.
- Excellent food choice: varied selection on all three meals as well as in-between, slightly changing every day. - Wide pool area with different pool sizes and seating areas, and at reasonable walking distance to the closest beaches. Swimming-pool slides and smaller pools for kids. - Professional and helpful staff. - Good price/quality balance.

Our private pool was great, although very cold in the shade. Would be very refreshing during the summer months. The food selection was great and varied. With masks and gloves provided for hygiene (although this wasn't enforced as some users didn't abide by the rules).

GermanyThe WiFi only worked at night hours, or at times were not many people were around. That sucked a little, but on the other hand you have even more time to spend with your family... ;) that's not too bad either. Sometimes people need to be forced to put their phones away too learn how to live again. 😅 Some of the entertainment possibilities for rainy or too hot days (pool games, spa, training room,...) are closed due to Covid. That makes it a bit harder to stay indoors. The TV didn't have a big choice of channels. Have seen better. Also the screens were pretty small and bad resolution. The buffet is pretty good, but you should be careful with the breakfast eggs from the oven. Our little son actually got salmonella from eating a not totally cooked egg, which mostly ruined our vacation experience. It's partly our fault since we saw that the egg was still liquid, but just as a warning for you: Better have the well-done ones... Also be careful with the mayonnaise, the one I had tasted a little fishy once or twice... But altogether it was a very nice stay, even tho we had our complications.
Overall I'd say it was a good hotel. The food was good, big choice of different dishes. Well, the breakfast was good, too, but always the same, no big variety of cold cuts or spreads for bread eaters. Two sorts of cheese and three sorts of mortadella were not enough for a breakfast gourmet like me, who likes some camembert, liver, ham or mozzarella from time to time... ^^ The bread itself is wonderful tho, and a big variety. The pancakes every morning are a great idea, tho I personally prefer the dough to have a little salt in it (it did not, at all). But lots of people still got them every morning, like my husband, for example. ;) There's always lots of cakes and desserts, tho they are very much Greek style (lots of sugar, not so many different tastes for gourmets again). The rooms were clean, cleaning service every day per request 👌, the cleaning staff was very nice and friendly. The ladies always made the stuffed animals sit on the beds in a cute way for the children, and it was always nice to come back to a clean and not anymore messy room. All of the employees were very friendly and nice and made you feel welcome. Especially towards the children, but that's just the Greek culture for you... The pools are great, and especially cool for kids since there are many different pools with different depths. Lots of entertaining water toys and floating animals. They have a circus every Tuesday night, very nice for the kids. Twice a week there's live music at the dinner. 👍

IrelandWe got a nice bit of sunlight by our pool every day but not enough to make the pool water any warmer at this time of the year. However, we braved the cold water every day without any complains. The hotel is located 4-5km away from Chania centre so it is a bit of a stroll if you don’t want to take a taxi or a bus or you don’t have a car rented.
My friend and I stayed here at the beginning of October and we really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in one of the rooms with a private pool and it was really good. The room was clean with plenty of space. The general areas were always clean and tidy. There was a good selection of drinks at the pool bar and there was a great selection of foods each meal time. There was plenty of food available too at the snack bar. The staff were friendly and happy to help. Everyone was required to wear masks and disposable gloves whenever using any amenities in the restaurant and the snack bar.

United KingdomSome theme food nights where less good than others. Asian food wasn’t that good. But Mexican was great.
Good breakfast, especially freshly made crepes and omelettes. Lots of choices, cereals etc. Many different kinds of coffee, very tasty. The location is quiet but close to shops and restaurants. Very popular with families, pools are well maintained (cleaned every evening) and spotless. Drinks are good quality, local Cretan beer is superb.

IrelandWe had a travel cot in our room and it was tight! One side of the bed couldn’t be moved around with the bed, buggy had to go out onto the balcony! The pool closes too early, 6pm sharp. Way too early for kids. For breakfast an egg station making fresh omelettes would have been great.
Food is a great quality and pools are great! No hassle getting sun beds every morning and very family friendly! Location is great and very close to Chania and a walk to some shops and restaurants for a change. Very good value for all inclusive and great variety of food.
