Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceMany mosquitoes in the area when night falls, bring lots of repellent.
Great location, garden, view. Quiet and relaxing, walking distance from beach. Staff was excellent, very good communication. They even gave us a baby cot. Great for families with small children. Would definitely come again.

AustraliaNothing was unpleasant or terrible 😀 My only suggestions for improvements would be adding some insect spray, as there were some mosquitoes. Providing some tea, coffee and sugar would be very thoughtful too as we left early to find a coffee.
Lovely, self contained accommodation. Close to the sea in a beautiful location. Room was quite large and well appointed. WiFi was not working, but these things happen. Only a one night stay but it would be easy to stay for much longer. Great value for money and happy to recommend.

Excellent place, surrounded by nature and cultivation area. The owners are friendly, helpful and take care of the visitors to the best of their ability. In Kryoneri Village one feels far from all noise inside this green palace, in peace and in joy with nature. The accommodation has a small kitchen enough to cook a good meal, as well as a living room and an external patio with green lawns. One can go to the beach by bicycle that the lodge has and since all the roads are flat it is very easy to go to the town of Galatas. Beyond a long beach that stretches from the Varasova rock to the Evinos river - one can enjoy the sea as well as water sports, windsurfing and kitesurfing, parachute, running, walking, cycling in the countryside or fishing like the natives of the place. There are several points of interest. 1- The rock of Varasova for those who love climbing, which looks very difficult but presents super interesting ascent lines and causes admiration for its colors and geological constitution. 2- Kryoneri that is under this rock and its name comes from a slope that rises underground from the mountain. The water is cold and crystal clear. But also the whole region has underground currents that make the beach very clean and refreshing. This town has several fish taverns, crepes, grills and souvlaki as sunbeds at the front of the beach. 3- Galatas village renowned for its traditional taverns. One with surprise finds the pizzaria Romandica with its excellent and tasty pizzas. Fresh ingredients with the best positive energy. A restaurant with a unique and delicate flavor. Highly recommended. I think they also deliver. 4- Close to Galatas village on the side of the mountain there is a spot used for parachute take off. Ask the owners for more information.

IsraelThere were some insects in the apartment. Maybe, it was because the apartment was inside the agricultural site of the owner...

PolandThe only minor inconvenience is insects that like to come close to the cottages and into the cottages. This is understandable in a location surrounded by grasses, and after I brought the problem to her attention the next morning, the Innkeeper came over and personally performed an organic spray, which alleviated the problem somewhat. Other than that, I have no reservations.
We loved it, the best choice we could have done for a 10-day trip to Greece in 7 people plus one dog. The Lady and her Daughter were so lovely, sincerely offered help when we were in need, good word and some fresh local food. Place itself perfect for relax and unwind. Many bars nearby (with great food and drinks), and a fantastic, not to crowdy beach too, all in distance +/- 10 minute by feet. Bungalows are well maintained and clean, we get fresh bedding and towels once in a few days. The area is peaceful and quiet, great for hanging out with friends and family, and yet houses are located not so close to each other (approximately few meters) that one neighbor can disturb another one. Great trip, highly recommend! Greetings from Poland!

GreeceThere was inadequate signage and no directions. The Google map position was several miles from the actual location. The owner sent a photo taken from the air with no landmarks for orientation. We had to drive around for an hour asking various people where it was! The property was built beside a spectacular view of a dramatic mountain cliff -- and the side of the building facing the view was SOLID BRICK. The large glass windows faced the BACKS of other bungalows, the road and carpark. To enjoy the view you had to literally drag chairs out into the driveway and sit outside -- not great in cold and rain. AT NO TIME DURING OUR STAY DID THE INTERNET WORK!!!! I was visiting my publisher and we should have been able to send text back and forth. We just gave up and worked together in Messalongi. There was NO toaster -- although one was listed in the description. There were no dish-cloths and no dish towels -- making the kitchen dysfunctional. The bathroom had NO means of confining the water on the floor and only a too-small, too-short old shower curtain that contained only half the water. As a result, the entire bathroom turns into a lake at the first use of the shower. The owner was available for one-half hour of the second day.
Peaceful and private.

UkraineThe wifi was only outside the house. Maybe, the hosts can fix that.
It’s an amazing villa near the rock and sea. You can dine out near the house. Very modern and serene! Lots of space around and picturesque views.

NetherlandsThe place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time: lots of woodlouses, 4 death bats in the fireplace, spiderwebs etc. This needs attention from the owner to make this place more attractive.
Quiet, nice little house with secluded parking space and on walking distance from the beach.

A bit of an insect problem. It would be good if there was some way of controlling them. Wi-fi and hot water were both off and on, not always working!

ItalyIn the evening there can be mosquitos, but there is nothing to do, since there are green fields all around.
Very nice place, surrounded by green grass. The houses are well equipped and very clean. The sea is quite close. In the morning we found a big crab walking at the entrance!

Great location with a stunning view over the mountainside and a 5min walk to the beach. We went our small child who loved the fields around the cabin. Star-gazing at night was the pinnacle! Big shoutout to the superfriendly host who made our stay perfect.
