Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaWi-Fi has good reception through the building but the uplink is very slow. It takes ages just to check an e-mail. It should be upgraded, otherwise it's almost useless. The small gravel road taking you to the beach was overgrown with vegetation and there were lots of mosquitoes. I don't think the hotel can do much about that. Rather the local authorities might help.
Very nice staff. All the ladies taking care of the hotel are like an army taking care that everything is close to perfect. 🙂 Room was cleaned every day. Fresh towels and toiletries when needed. Nice terrace to spend quiet and relaxing evenings with a glass of retsina 🍸. Perfect breakfast everyday. Local specialities cooked in house. Big parking lot. Beautiful garden with olive trees, palm trees and even a vegetable garden in the back. The man taking care of the garden is doing an exvellent job. Very nice pool. There is also a small pool for the children. Lots of sun beds and umbrellas. As always, a very nice experience at Hotel Stefani, despite the bad weather and red storm alerts we had during our stay. This was our third visit in 8 years and we will definitely come back next time we will choose Sarti as our holiday destination.

North MacedoniaThe room was very small, just when you open the door the bed is right in front of you, in like one meter from the door. The bed is small even for two normal people (no more 150cm wide). Only one cabinet for the clothes, no electrical outlet near the mirror for the hair dryer (the room didn’t had one), the bathroom was also small, even the door wasn’t opening to the fullest. Also don’t leave any food outside the refrigerator because the ants show up immediately. The breakfast was mediocre, not too much options and everyday the same, with no labeled stickers where is the milk/tea/water. The pool was big, but the water in it was too hot for me.
The garden is very well maintained, clean and very beautiful. There was always parking available. The beach is near, 1 min walk. Big balcony was big and spacious with table and chairs.

United StatesI can't believe there were no "do not disturb" tags to put on the door. The cleaning lady would try and come in when we were sleeping or if we weren't there she would come in and rearrange the whole room, move all of our things, put our stuff in drawers... That's some aggressive cleaning right there. A simple "do not disturb" door tag could save these people so much trouble...
Great 2 star hotel. The breakfast was wonderful and the pool (which I never used) was also very well maintained (if for some reason you don't like the beach which is also super nice).

SerbiaMy suggestion for improvement is to put mosquito net in every room. Mosquitos are unbearable. There is some kind of device against them but its not working. Beter solution is definitely with net and I don't think that hotel will cost too much.
Even though the hotel is up to 2 stars, you don't have that feeling. It's more like 3 star hotel more similar with content and rooms.

HungaryThe bathroom is very small, almost impossible to shower a kid. I know it is not the fault of the hotel but there were lots of mosquitos (when we arrived in the bathroom there were 5-10).
The hotel is close to the sandy beach, and it was very clean. The stuff were helpful and nice.

North MacedoniaThe internet was atrocious. It was so bad that it made me drop a full rating point from this place. I couldn't open a basic website let alone do anything more with it. Tourist spots in Greece aren't well known for good internet but I've been to Greece at least 10 times and this one takes the cake. There wasn't enough room on the dining terrace for most of the guests and sometimes you had a situation where people were standing and waiting for someone to get up so they could have breakfast. One time me and my girlfriend went down to the yard and used a random table that was there but aside from that cunning move there wasn't much else one could do but wait. I advise getting up earlier for breakfast. The bathroom was incredibly small. They literally designed a new type of door that folded vertically at the center to make it possible to enter it. The shower curtain was high and when anyone showered the whole bathroom would flood.
The property was beautiful. The yard was incredibly well maintained. Filled with the greenest grass you've seen and olive trees. The food had variety. There were two pools. The main pool was decently sized and a had space for sunbeds around it. Parking was decently sized. I had no problem finding a spot every time.

RomaniaThe room facilities were pretty bad: privacy glass on the balcony was missing, the furniture was old and deteriorated and the biggest problem was with the doors which did not provide any soud insulation, we could not rest at all.
The staff and the food were ok and the cleaning service was good.

IrelandBreakfast on the terrace was nice, but there wasn’t enough tables to sit at, due to people sitting on their phones after finishing their breakfast.
Great location, right by the best beach of Sarti. Staff are nice and the rooms were cleaned daily. Buffet breakfast included in price. The owner is really nice, he even waited to check us in as we arrived very late due to long wait at the borders.

BulgariaIn the evening frogs could be heard arround the hotel.
The location is excellent, very close to the beach, on a minute away from the hotel. The room was clean, the terrace had an incredible view to the sea and Ormos Vatopediou Mt. Athos. The breakfast was very good. The staff is nice and kind. We arrived early, but there was no problem with the accommodation. In the evening, the power went out in the area, but the hotel immediately switched on backup power.

UkraineEverything was great! The room we stayed in was triple room with sea view and it was advertised as 25sq.m. But in reality it was much smaller.
The hotel was great, the staff was excellent. It is a family run business and I love supporting those. Inga and her family were really great to us and made our stay memorable. We went with our daughter and pet who enjoyed the gardens and the pool area (no, the dog didn’t swim) after the afternoon naps.
