Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandHonestly - everything "bad" was compensated by the sunset, or moonset views, or the beach. Maybe the mosquitos were a bit of an issue. There are also quite a few steps to beat to get from the parking lot into the mansion, however you can park the car down the road to make it easier to bring in your luggages. You will need a car, otherwise it's a rather long walk everywhere. Alex's supermarket and probably others are also quite expensive so it's better to do your groceries in bigger towns/stores.
the house is on a hill and has beautiful views from balconies on the bay and the cliffs and the lagoons <3; silent and remote location, very peaceful, w/o a crowd or noisy neighbours; the entry to the beach is pretty much private, so the beach is also quite empty there; the owner is super nice and he also provided us with beach umbrellas; two bathrooms/toilets - quite useful if you're renting the house for more than 2 or 3 persons; big living room; showers outside for washing off the beach sand; wifi is quite okay

RomaniaWe travelled as a family with kids so you need to take in consideration that the villa is in an isolated area. There are many stairs from the road to the house, so a bit difficult with carrying the luggage and going up and down few times a day. If you want to move around the island, you need a car. Also, the villa is beside Agios Gordios, so you need you need to walk quite a bit and pass hills… you need to be a bit sporty. Another issue is that if you have a late flight, you need to check out at 11:00 and you don’t have where to go with the luggage or the kids… this resulted to us a bit of an incovenient. I would have liked to see a frying pan (we wanted to make some eggs in the morning), as you have a cooker/oven/microwave and everything to serve a meal but nothing to cook in. The space from behind the room must be permanently sealed, it does not have a nice smell. Some shelves must be put in the room with 2 beds to be able to put the clothes of the people staying there. We also had ants, we did not know that and in the first night we let kid’s bicuits on the counter to find them eaten in the morning and the package full of ants. We’ve solved this issue with spraying everyday for ants, this is quite normal in a garden. Everyinng went smooth until Friday night and Saturday when we had very noisy neighbors upstairs, pullimg chairs all around on the gritstone, dropping ashtray on our shades, laughing and speaking very high at the shower where we had the window and waking the small kid but this is not Stefanos’ fault, you cannot educate people. We had a very nice stay and hopefully what I wrote will be taken in consideration in order to improve in the future. Greetings to grandma!
Nice owners, the house feels as home. Very quiet area, really relaxing. Nice view and you can hear the waves.

Czech RepublicThe house, furniture and equipment is older, but fully functional. House is situated on quiet place outside the village. there is nice view to sea from terrace with beautiful sunsets. way to the beach is not easy (specially back from the beach - 50m elevation), the beach itself is quiet and mostly empty. with stones and sand, the sea has sandy bottom. Rocks on the beach and in the sea are interesting and separate the beach to smaller "private" parts. The shipwreck is just additional attraction.

FinlandQuite many stairs down to villa from the street /parking place, and from villa to the beach. It was OK for us , but could be too difficult for small children and old people.
We had an amazing stay in Stefanos Apartments. We liked this nice Corfu-stile villa with the beautiful garden, our large shadowy terrace with all needed furniture/sun-beds and amazing sea view, almost private sandy beach (just about 3-5 min down the stairs by foot) and very calm location! Stefanos was always available and kindly provided us with all the necessary things and advices. Strongly recommend for those, who values quietness and nature.
