Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomHonestly, I can’t think of anything. It was perfect.
The peace, the privacy, enormous amount of space in the villa, being in amongst nature and having everything we could possibly want within reach (private pool, lots of outdoor seating/ sun beds/ secluded beach a few minutes away, within easy reach of the centre, space to park the little moped we rented for a few days during our stay.) As Stefanos was not staying the week we were there we had the pleasure of meeting his mother, Vanda, who could not have been more hospitable and accommodating. Stefanos sent us recommendations which were excellent and Vanda was so kind and we had some great conversations and a lovely rapport, but there was also plenty of space so we felt completely at ease and at home. We did an enormous amount of research ahead of this trip(!) and I definitely think it paid off in us booking here - in fact, we loved it so much we’ll definitely be back! Aegina, as an island, has everything you might want for a short-ish trip, yet just a stones throw from Athens - the history and some brilliant monuments, the delicious food, some excellent day trips (we went to Moni & also to Agistri), some fantastic secluded beaches (especially so in April when we went!), a wonderful little bookshop; yet it is small enough that you really feel you have got to know the island during your stay. It’s certainly possible not to rent any form of transport (we only had the moped for 2 days out of 6) but we did see a lot of the island in those two days. If you pick stone and light villa for your stay you will definitely have a homely, friendly, peaceful holiday! Book now while it’s still available!!

United KingdomNothing - all good. Would recommend anyone staying does a bit of a food shop before arriving (you can pick up bits in one of the supermarkets in Aegina town) because there is not a super close shop - but if you have a car this is not a problem.
The property is in a beautiful location, 2 mins walk from the sea and it is very quiet. The swimming pool is excellent and our children really enjoyed being able to swim every day. It is about 20 mins walk from the town of Aegina, a beautiful little port with lots of lovely shops and bakeries. The hosts at the property are very kind and they looked after us during our stay. We are looking forwards to visiting again.

United KingdomThe wieners couldn’t be more helpful and the place is amazing, pictures do not do it justice. Facilities, pool, and whole feel was perfect. Our friends had the other apartment in the villa so we had the pool area to ourselves, it was great.

PolandThe only disadvantage we could think of is the lighting in the bathroom by the mirror.
Great place to stay in! We had an amazing weekend there. The flat is stays cool during the hot days, there's an AC unit on every room, we enjoyed the swimming pool every day! We loved the design of the swimming pool/garden area! There is a beautiful beach nearby with sunset views. It is great place to stay in! Thank you!

United StatesThe villa was amazing - we especially loved the pool! The grounds were lovely. The beds were very comfortable, and the bedrooms had plenty of space. The kitchen was beautiful and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is perfect - about 5 minutes from the port, and a short walk to the beach.

United KingdomVery nice house (big, spacious and very clean), very good location, close of the Aegina Port (5 minutes driving), quiet (we were travelling with a toodler). Very friendly and helpful hosts. Following the host's recommendations about places in town, we had a very nice time.

United KingdomA couple of things missing in the kitchen. A toaster and a chopping board, and a bread knife.
The apartment in the villa was superb, with great facilities. Everything was immaculately clean and everything worked well. No English channels on the TV but the provision of free Netflix was great. The owners were extremely welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable, even offering lifts into Aegina town. The area was extremely quiet and peaceful, great for us after a busy previous week, but the restaurants and bars of the town are only a five minute taxi ride or a twenty five minute walk away. I would thoroughly recommended this apartment to anyone visiting Aegina.

AustriaBe aware that this appartment is located in the basement, but personally i felt that there was enough sunlight the whole day.
We really enjoyedd our stay. The whole property is amazing, the appartment is spacious and very well-equiped. The host is extremely nice and warm-hearted. Besides that, the whole area is pretty close to Aegina Town and also the sea of course. I really recommend this place!

NetherlandsWifi was quite weak unless sat close to the router in the lounge.
Location was fantastic, its a 5€ taxi ride to Aegina port, or if you drive, about 5 minutes away. At the end of the road is a stunning little church and a beautiful place to swim. The hosts where fantastic and provided everything we asked for. The pool is lovely and the outside seating is very comfortable.

GreeceAn exceptional villa in a quite and well cared garden. Appropriate for friend groups, couples and families as well, near the sea and all beautiful places of Aegina Island. Stefanos, the owner, is kind and friendly and he was fond of our young dog. He advised us for special places and attractions of the island and thanks to him, we (my husband, me, our son and our dog) had a great time in Aegina.

EstoniaNothing much to say here - we had a lovely stay, perfect for our needs with a 1.7 year old child.
We really loved our breakfasts in the beautiful garden, plenty of space inside and out for our daughter to play. The villa is in perfect location to discover Aegina - close enough to the center, but at the same time far enough to give privacy and silence. A short walk takes you to beautiful seaside for a swim or to admire sunset. Very friendly and helpful hosts too :)

United KingdomThe apartment is in the basement so not ideal if one is looking for lots of (sun)light or a great view whilst indoors. On the other hand, the advantage is being a bit cooler on hot summer days and there is a beautiful garden available to sit outside.
Great location, near a local beach and quiet albeit requiring a car to get to the main city of Aegina (one needs a car to get the most of the island so not really an issue). The property was already equipped with everything one could ask for and the hosts were very kind, helpful, and present to help with any issue. Good internet connectivity. Parking is available at the property.

GreeceThe owner had arranged everything for us to feel comfortable. Everything was so clean, organised and well thought of, but what surprised us the most were some small details which are not usually given: three towels in three different sizes per person, welcome treats in the fridge (e.g. chocolates, juice, water, marmalade and butter), coffee capsules and filter coffee, a special cover for the sofa for our dog who was travelling with us, different kinds of shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom etc. As for the accommodation itself, it has EVERYTHING a group or travellers / a family would need; from cooking supplies to a huge collection off books to read! Not to mention the amazing garden around the accommodation, which is ideal for some relaxing time or a nice workout :)
