How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

We did not like the 7am construction noise next door, but the owners cannot control that. We had a little trouble finding the address with our GPS; we got close & called owner who directed us quickly to correct house. There was a flight of stairs to apartment to carry up our luggage, but we knew that.
Very beautiful & clean apartment with nice decor & books on Greece! Loved meeting the very friendly owner, Giorgos, who showed us all amenities upon check-in! We appreciated his wife's special touches & thoughtfulness with supplies anyone would need! There were Greek cookies, coffee, & chilled water bottles awaiting us that we enjoyed during our short stay. We utilized the small washer & the multiple, long, outdoor drying lines for hanging laundry on the side of the house with morning sun. The terrace was large & inviting. We also liked the larger shower (with bathtub) in the spacious bathroom and that a rollaway bed was set up in a corner of the living room for my adult son. So kind of the owner to upgrade our accommodation to the larger apartment "Stepfane," which gave us 3 adults more room since the larger bed for my husband & I was in a bedroom.

Warm hospitality from George and Lambro who pay attention to details. Felt like a home away from home. Extremely pet friendly, they even had a bowl with water waiting for us, as well as local treats to welcome us.

The room was large, with 2 balconies to sit out on, and the bed was comfortable, with very nice sheets, that felt wonderful to get under. There were many extra touches, a bottle of wine in the fridge, fruit, etc - I feel they thought of everything you could want here. It was great to have a washing machine in the apt to use. Close to the square. Lovely experience

Nothing, we loved our stay.
All the little gifts on arrival were amazing (and delicious!) The bed is SO comfortable The location up the hill means the large balcony has good views over the hills Supermarket is super close Really well equipped (if you think something is missing, just open a drawer and you'll find it!)

Georgos and his wife are wonderful hosts and well travelled themselves and happily answered the hundred questions we asked them. The apartment has TWO great balconies with great seating and curtains so that you can get just the amount of sun you want. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom has a nice tub. Because it is the top floor of a real house, the insulation is great, and so you don't get the cold dampness you get in typical Med vacation apartments once the sun goes down. (We are talking about September-October weather.) So sleeping is very cozy! The supermarket is 50m away and the center is just 300m. They gave us some olive oil and wine which was really too kind. We will be returning next year!

It was a bit loud in the morning from the nearby street. But nothing too dramatic.
Very cozy apartment with a beautiful little terrace. When we arrived some treats awaited us.

The hosts (a couple) are super nice. The studio is very clean and lovely. We loved the decoration, the terrasse, the garden. Everything was perfect, next time we'll stay longer :)

Our hosts were magnificent and superfriendly. We got all kind of fruit, liquor, homemade cake etc! The apartment was very nice with a cosy terrace. Beds were very comfy. Just that the busy way from Pylos to Methoni runs right in front of the apartment. Sorry, but beside that, all was perfect

Everything was great!
Not only the classic stuff like cleanliness, room size, equipments, friendly hosts, wonderful garden and great view, good position in Pylos, easy check-in exceeded my expectations, but the owners were so nicely caring, sensitive and discrete as if somebody is watching for you to feel like at home! We were pampered with tasty homemade cakes and lots of other delicious treats. We got not just a great comfortable accommodation, but a good and discrete care! Thank you!
