Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicDue to the season has not already started they were not seabeds at the beach. Beach bar and restaurant are very overpriced.
Very cozy village in a greek style with several bonuses - minimarket, restaurant.

United KingdomIn May the facilities were closed, no swimming pool, no mini market. Breakfast is not as great. There are always the same 2 things to eat.
The villas on the beach are nice and decent size for a maximum of 3 people. The staff is always available at the reception, they help you in any occasion

IrelandNot much around the property so you have to have rent a transport because the public buses are not very reliable/don’t come often The balcony is shared with the room next door
Staff was a 10/10, really helpful and friendly Hotel is super close to stunning beaches and close enough to Naousa Rooms are clean and comfortable Breakfaast is very basic, bread, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, yoghurt, cereal, milk/coffee/OJ. Fair for the price of the stay but don’t expect a banquet.

Germanyshower curtain. Unfortunately the bar at the beach was alreday closed mid september. The connection with public busses is very poor but you can get your rental vehicles directly delivered to the reception.
The whole site is amazing. If you are looking for a nice and relaxed time to calm down - that is the place. You are 15 minutes drive away from the next village - bus connections are rare but if you spend your time at surfing beach village - no need to go somewhere. A small supermarket with fair prices is on site. 2 pools which we had (in the post season) nearly for our own. Do not expect massive luxury but for that price, the choice is excellent and unbeatable.

IndiaThe breakfast was not good at all and moreover the service was very slow. Sometimes the breads were not at the table , sometimes cheese. Overall, it wasn't good at all.
I liked the location which was at the calm beach of Santa Maria full of peace and tranquility.

CanadaIt was a bit far for restaurants and food but not terrible. Easy if you rent an ATV like you did, but far for walking. The restaurants there were not great for lunch/supper. The cabanas on the beach and beach towels/umbrellas all cost daily to rent.
I loved the closeness to the beach. Free breakfast was pretty good; classic Greek breakfast. AC worked really well and cute rooms! Beautiful beach!

GermanyDuring the high season we could not imagine coming here but in the low season our stay was very calm and comfortable. We had the beach and the extremely big and nice pool almost for ourselves. A big plus for us was the Airport Shuttle service which saved us a lot of headache, time and money. We rented one of the superior bungalows. It was in a good condition and the garden areal around was well kept.

GermanyIts better to have a car/scooter to get around since the hotel is not really that close to anything
We had an amazing stay at Surfing Beach Village, the nice staff went above and beyond for us. We even got a room upgrade to one of the wonderful beach huts! The Ferry shuttle provided by the hotel was also really nice. The pool was super chill and clean, Cocktails there were really good (perfect Pina Colada!). Breakfast ist really simple but for us it was enough.

SloveniaThere are no negative things, maybe just that you basically share your terrace with another room.
Very clean rooms, although the cleaning was every 2 days in September. Very friendly and welcoming stuff. Location very good, but you need a car. Parking provided. Breakfast also very good, mostly the same every day, but tasty. Close to the beach.

SloveniaWe didn't like the one and only restaurant in the resort. There is A LOT of cats and they kinda disturb you while you're eating. The cats are cute but sometimes you just have enough of them😂 There is one market and its really poorly equipped
The location is very beautiful, sea is very close like 3 minutes away, the beach is perfect. Rooms are nice and clean. For aure you need a car to get around the island. Bus station is very close but goes just to Naoussa. The staff is very kind. They picked us up and drive us pack to the port.

Everything went well considering that I booked the room with Genius and a special getaway offer. This place has a big team of cleaners who keep the common space and rooms in excellent condition. United KingdomIts quite isolated, if you are the type of person who likes to go out in the evening i wouldnt advise. The last bus is 8pm, so you’ll have to spend €20 every night in a taxi to get back from naoussa.
Its like a little village, has a shop, restaurant (it was never busy tho), good pools and 5 min walk to the beach. (Its €40 for the beds at the beach!!, so buy an umbrella in the supermarket for €20)

ColombiaThe restaurant from the hotel doesn’t have lots of food options and neither aren’t good. Specially the service was BAD and RUDE. They charged us twice for the bread all the 3 times that we ate there, plus one time even said that we didn’t want it but anyways they put on the table and ignored us, it was wasted food. Instead I would suggest to try the restaurant with the beach view but its a little bit more expensive. The hotel has a mini market, and we used to buy lots of water there, but when we arrived with the restaurant with it, the people from the restaurant warned us that we had to buy it from the restaurant. Last but not least, is very sad to see that in the pictures they show the benches with the beach, but its not mentioned that in order to sit you need to pay 40 - 50 euros, as we though it was hotel property and included in the price.
The receptionist people where incredible! They were very attentive to all of our necesites. I asked for special room decoration because it was a special date for me and my boyfriend, and they delivered! They also transported us upon arrival and leaving to the port which was very convenient. The pool was very clean. Santa Maria Beach is really pretty and one of the best of Paros.
