Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe noisy neighbour with their music and kid running around, experience of nature and stillness ;( should be screened better to ensure couples like us are not next to such people, this property is made for relaxing and quiet…but not the owner’s fault necessarily
Great location near beach and Kos Town, respectively 5 min walk and 5 min drive… top facilities and house, very clean, modern, all well equipped and relaxing garden - also enjoyed outside gym a lot

United KingdomNothing, everything was ok.
For us, the location was ideal, quiet, and away from the resorts. Nice studio apartment in lovely gardens, well maintained and kept clean. Kallia, the host, was very helpful.

United KingdomNothing we didn't like. Best to have a car if possible to get around or alot of people use bikes.
This was our second visit to this property and it was as amazing as the first time. It is in a very quiet area in lovely grounds, the houses are great with everything you would need and spotlessly clean all the time thanks to Netzmin. The lady that runs the booking is always available for anything you need on whatsapp and nothing is too much trouble. The houses are close to Kos Town but you would need a car or taxi to get there as a bit far to walk. I cannot recommend this property enough and we will definitely want to return.

GreeceI liked everything, no complaints! Something to consider for the long term is perhaps a pool for some of the Spitakia! extra charge of course!
We absolutely loved the little houses (Ta Spitakia), we chose them for the location, close enough to Platani and Kos town, just across the street from Kos Tennis club and of course, 2 minutes away from AB supermarket. You definitely need a car for Kos, unless you are staying in the main town which is crowded, hence us choosing a cosey getaway. The house is well equipt, you do have neighbours but everyone had their space and privacy. Our boys loved playing basketball and football (with respect to quiet hours). The garden is well kept and the sounds of nature are all you hear, absolutely relaxing. The staff was welcoming, prompt and very helpful.

RussiaJust one little thing. There are no flip-flops in the houses and the floor is quite cold.
Everything was just great! People, the house itself, the yard. Very clean and comfy. The houses are located a bit outside the city, so you would need a car to reach there.

CanadaThe hosts (or really management company) offered to conveniently rent us a car which would be dropped off at the house. But we had to drive to Kos town to complete the paper work anyway, so not really convenient. Also, they offered to book an airport transfer on our departure but it took them 11 hours to respond, and then told us they did not have availability at the requested time (nor offered alternative solutions).
Great little clean house in a spacious garden. Very quiet and relaxing. Many clean cats which were not a problem. A car/bike/scooter is needed, but again - not a problem. Eat at Ampeli Winery, a short drive to the west!

NetherlandsA bright security light outside the back door which could easily be changed to a motion detecting one.
The owners had thought of everything you might need during your stay and even things you never knew you needed! The outside space was beautifully maintained - so kudos to the very charming property manager who is also in charge of maintaining the actually buildings (he’s charming and helpful). The property is located a little outside Kos town in a beautiful garden therefore providing a calm and quiet oasis. This really is one of the best maintained and pretty properties we’ve been to.

RussiaAll was really great! The only thing - just keep in mind, if you're in a hurry, that some short electricity blackouts in Kos may happen, and the main gate for the car could not be opened in those times. This is a minor issue, anyway.
Very clean, cosy and bright accommodation. The territory of the property is full of greenery. This is really a kind of unique accommodation in Kos, and the host was very kind indeed. Check in and check out was quite flexible. Would be happy to stay again.

United KingdomThere was nothing we didn't like and the only thing they could add is a microwave to the house.
This property is lovely in an olive grove and so peaceful and it is immaculate. The property Manager was amazing and kept the house cleaned every day and was so helpful. It is in a quiet area but you can get into town easily but you do really need a car. However, the beach is just a walk away and there is also a bus that goes into town. Kos was beautiful and there are lots of places to go near the house.

The villa is lovely. Spacious, clean and comfortable. Beds are very good and there is a choice between two types of pillows. The garden is wonderful with soft grass and olive trees. A quiet place with a porch swing. What could be better?
