The staff was amazing- so sweet and helpful :) The rooms were gorgeous. Could not ask for a better place to stay to celebrate my birthday! Will definitely try to return.

On the beach next to the hotel, there was a notable amount of plastic litter. One day, we took it upon ourselves to clean it up. Additionally, we noticed several lovely stray cats near the hotel. We sincerely hope that the hotel is taking care of them by providing a bowl of water (also in winter time) and arranging for them to be neutered with free TNR-programs for example.

We had a room with a sea view, which was both spacious and beautiful. Wonderful bed too. The sound of waves breaking on the beach was the only thing we heard, making it a truly wonderful experience!

Although the hotel was on a busy road the soundproofing in the room enabled a great nights sleep

We loved the style and comfort of this beautiful hotel Everything was superb in terms of the finish of the room, and the bedding was of exceptional quality. The bath was wonderful, as was the shower . The small kitchen was well equipped. The breakfast buffet was delicious and beautetifuly presented, and the chef was welcoming The terrace was a fantastic spot to enjoy breakfast It was an absolute joy to stay at Thalassa for the night en route to the airport, and I would highly recommend it . I love the actual luxury you feel walking into the place. There is a pool as you walk down some stairs you see modern yet ancient building. The front desk was Dahlia and she was overjoyed to greet us and made our 3 day weekend d great. Our room is dramatic with a wall of stone and a loft that I can actually walk around !!! Then next to the bed is a tub again modern and I get it the tub ! I am 6 foot and 250 lbs. the breakfast buffet is fresh and different and Aris does an amazing job. We drink a lot of coffee and he is always available. The hotel is on the sea and we swam every day ..... you can wade out for a while before it gets deep. The shower is amazing and again the service .... we asked for a glass of milk Sunday night for some bake goods we got but all the stores were closed and no drama so quick the front desk is amazing .... they ordered a massage in my room 60 euros and he is a physical therapist and was perfect ...../

Beach closeby is rocky, you can swin but it is difficult to get into the water. There was a sewer smell in the room. I went away when water was poured to every drain (bathtub was the worse, I guess not used that much).

Breakfast was excellent. Also I would recommend the hotel restaurant, it truly is as good as you can see in the rewievs. Rooms were big and there is a balcony towards the sea.

The swiming pool is tiny and in a patio just separated by a wall from the main road. It is not really for use. But who needs it when the hotel is ON the beach? The rooms with a view to the road must be a bit noisy with the continous trafic and the view must not be very nice The rooms with lateral view to the sea (like ours) has more view to the back of the restaurant The beam in the duplex are not very high if you measure more than 180 cm

Having breakfast (or diner) on the wonderfull terrasse litteraly on the sea is a bliss! The breakfast menu contains fresh dishes that change everyday in addition to the usuals There's a beach at the feet of the terrasse of the hotel. The staff will do everything to make your stay as good as possible The rooms are large and comfortable

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff, great location. Hotel is immaculate and so beautifully decorated, with great facilities. The staff were the best - all so kind, welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, and restaurant is one of our favourites (beautiful fresh seafood, great wine selection, dining right on the water). The beach outside is perfect for us - not crowded, great for swimming, and right on your doorstep. The hotel is a short 15-20 minute walk into the beautiful old town, and the bigger beach just beyond that if you want an organised beach (bars and sun loungers for hire etc). We first visited Thalassa 4 years ago and it is just as we remember it, which is very impressive - we look forward to returning soon!

There were some bugs floating in the pool, maybe needed a bit more cleaning and worst - the pool is facing the busy Rethymno street, with trucks and a lot of car traffic. We could not use much for that reason, not very relaxing. Nice to have though.

The view from our room was incredible! Directly looking at the sea, we also were looking down at the main restaurant. Very quiet, cozy, comfortable and clean room. We had a superb stay. The staff is very accommodating and friendly too. The room has a great design taste and the bed was very comfortable too. The location has two sides: great view at the sea- we had the room facing the beach, and great to have direct access to the private beach but the hotel is not close to the city centre, we took the car to get there otherwise need to walk in the hot weather in the busy Rethymno traffic, which we did it once and regret it. Otherwise really good hotel!

The lack of car parking is perhaps the main problem of this hotel. The main door is next to very crowded main road. The pool is small enough and there are quite many steps between the reception and the rooms

The sea-view rooms are practically next to the sea with amazing view. The suite was very spacious. The distance from the city is not a problem if you like walking.

The road outside busy and unattractive Bit too far to walk into town

Right on a good quiet beach. Our room was nearly in the sea. Quiet. Very good restaurant and breakfast.

We were on a room on 2 floors so the AC had aa bit of a hard time some moments to cool the second floor where the room is. Otherwise, our stay was perfect.

Excellent hotel: the staff at the reception were exceptional with little attentions such as helping us with excursions, peparing us lunches for the days away and recommandations for food and activitiea in Rethymno and Crete. The staff is lively and smilling all the time. The restaurant has beautiful view and great quality food and drinks. The rooms are beautiful and cozy. We would go back in a heart beat.
