Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanySince we prefer to sleep with an open window, the sound of the air-conditioning (?) from the supermarket opposite of our room a little annoying for us - there is nothing the Thania Seaside can do about it though, so we changed the settings of the aircon in our room (not as cold and loud) and closed the windows. Not negative, but just a reminder for potential first-time guests: Beach towels have to be brought with you or bought in one of the shops around, they are not included with your booking or can be rented. I only mention it, because we forgot on of the towels at home and had to buy another one. ;)
The Thania Seaside is located directly at the beach promenade with many restaurants, cafés and shops around. Even though the area is visited by many beach goers and tourists, it never felt too crowded or too loud - which is a big plus! Manolis and the rest of the team were very helpful and nice from the first contact on, so we felt in good hands and always knew who to ask, if questions came up. He also called a taxi for us, which was less expensive than the one we took from the airport (50 Euros from the airport to the Thania Seaside , 40 Euros for the way back to the airport). On the balcony you could dry beach towels and beach wear without any problems. To avoid carrying sand up to the room, Manolis and the team have installed a little place at the entrance where you could wash your flip flops and feet, before entering the room. The breakfast had all the basic necessities as well as some typical things like Greek yoghurt with honey and nuts, which we loved to eat in the morning. There was freshly cut fruit as well as cereal, toast, cheese, coffee, tea, boiled eggs etc. Sometimes scrambled eggs were served and you were always asked, if you wanted fried eggs, which then were quickly prepared for you. Since the breakfast is served on the second floor, you could enjoy a beautiful view. If you leave the hotel, you stumble straight onto the promenade and after another four steps you are already on the beach. There are many umbrellas and sun beds around that you can rent, a set of two beds and an umbrella costs 10 Euros for the day - which is a good investment, especially with the sun being so strong. We loved having such a short way back to the room, in case we needed more water (which we stored in the fridge) oder wanted to use the bathroom. The rooms were always clean and the lovely cleaning lady always greeted us with a big smile and warm hello. There were many activities offered: Renting a Jet-Ski, a boat, a SUP or snorkeling.

United StatesWe had a great stay at Thania Seaside Smotel! The location is excellent, right on the beach. The owner, Manolis, is a fantastic host and went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. The rooms are large, clean and well appointed. There are many great restaurants within a few minutes' walk. Breakfast was tasty and the breakfast patio has a lovely view of the bay.

NorwayGreat little hotel, perfectly located by the seaside and the Agia Pelagia public beach, yet the atmosphere surrounding the hotel is calm and quiet. The owners Maria and Manolis are very kind and hospitable. Room was decent size, with a comfortable balcony with evening sun (2nd floor). The room was also cleaned every morning while we were at breakfast. In general the hotel was fully refurbished a couple of years ago, and the standard of everything was very good (aircon, etc). Beds were especially comfortable! We loved our stay here and look forward to coming back in the future.

RomaniaThe thing that misled us a bit was the seaview, even though just lateral seaview is promised. In fact, if you stay in the remotest room from the beach, on the second floor, there is almost no sea view. But the hotel is on the beach so you could just as well go downstairs and and you were on the beach.
Rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable with AC and a mini fridge. Vicky was cleaning and tidying up the room daily and towels are changed on request or by default after 3 days. Bathroom was clean and equipped with hair blow dryer. Breakfast was good, exactly what you need: some fresh fruits, eggs, sweets. Coffee was very good!! Manolis, the owner, is a very nice person, he offered us some of his wine which is very good and is always there to help with what u need. The beach in front of the hotel is very beautiful, with 2 sunbeds and an umbrella for 7 euro but you need to be there before 12 to find some empty spots. Lots of tavernas and a supermarket very close to the hotel and the beach.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaFirst of all, breakfast was poor, same every day and not too many options for the people who eat lactose free food. Wifi was disconnecting most of the time. Bed was making too much noise. It is good to have room clean every day but sometimes we do not want to be bothered. Even when we told, they insisted to clean it.
Great location, good room and nice staff.
