Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Israelthis is THE PLACE to stay in Syrrako and in the entire area of Tsumerka. Although located in Syrrako, which is at the north part of Tsumerka region and requires some driving in the mountain roads, this place is a true Gem. The whole village is restored and nicely preserved. The hotel itself is located in a historic school building, the design and decorations provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The bonus are the owners, Vangelis and Matina, who take care of you as if you were their own child: making sure breakfast was delicious and providing you with your own egg-style, taking care of every request you may have, and happy to provide detailed instructions on things to do in the area, driving directions or anything else you may think of. This place is totally worth the distance and driving to get there.

United KingdomThe village is stunning- well preserved/ beautifully restored, clinging to a steep hillside high in the national park. The Old School building is fabulous and fascinating, full of interesting things to look at, and with great views from the comfortable rooms. The highlight is ( as others have said!) the wonderful Matina, who looks after you better than you can imagine. She desperately wants you to have a great time here, and you absolutely will! She makes you feel incredibly welcome and helps you plan whatever activities you may want to do in the area. We stayed 3 nights and wish we’d stayed longer. Will be back!

United KingdomThe weather! Still had a very enjoyable couple of days in June, despite the unseasonal rain.
The breakfast is exceptional, all locally sourced, home cooked and Matina makes sure you are very well looked after. She has a wealth of knowledge of the area. Large rooms in an interesting and carefully converted old building.

Israel1. Parking is only at the entrance to the village, about 350 meters from the hotel. Pay attention to the signs pointing to the hotel's parking lot (its location also appears on Google Map, you would like to mark it as a destination for navigation). When you arrive it is recommended to contact the hotel, they will send a driver with an ATV to carry your luggage to the hotel and show you the way to it. 2. The rooms and the shower are very small, but the beds and facilities themselves are excellent.
A clean and well-maintained hotel in a historical and aesthetic building. Welcoming and communicative landlady. Location in a small village, a bit on the side, but with a pleasant and special atmosphere and a great scenic access road. Good breakfast. Other meals are possible in three nearby taverns.

IsraelThe bathroom is small and not comfortable.
First of all, Yanis and Michele were great host and helped us planning our trip and gave us everything we need. They gave us warm hospitality. The personal touch in the breakfast was also great addendum. Syrrako is a beautiful village with great view, even though access is not trivial.

United KingdomAbsolutely everything! The hotel is a renovated old greek school, which is quite iconic on scenic villages on top of the mountain. Vagelis (the owner) has done an incredible job decorating the place and makes you travel back in time. The room was amazing, it used to be an old classroom, with large windows. The double bed was extremely comfortable and you had 2 sets of pillows to pick up from, soft and medium! I have never seen that option even in 5-star hotels! The single sofa bed was also very comfortable, it has proper mattress on it, so it's not your typical converted sofa. There are 2 big wardrobes to store your stuff in there during your stay and there is also a small fridge, which is a very nice touch. Breakfast was served downstairs, which is a nice cozy sitting area withnoce views and a fireplace. The buffet was great, several choices from local pastry food to 2 types of cakes. The views from the windows are out of this world...
