Perfect place to stay in Santorini. Amazing view from the room of the caldera and sunset. Location was great. Parking available. People are king and service was impeccable. Breakfast delivered in the room was fantastic - delicious and beautifully decorated. Unforgettable experience!!

There are so many amazing things about this hotel that it's hard to know where to begin! Staying here truly feels like you are in paradise. Everything was so perfect from the food, the view, location, and staff. When we arrived, Dimitris upgraded us to the ‘Daphne’ room. The view was incredible, the bed was comfortable, and the service was unbeatable. The breakfast served every morning was a highlight of our trip and it felt like we were staying at the hotel alone. The location is central, right near most of the upscale restaurants and a bit away from the most touristy areas. Dimitris went above and beyond to help us book activities and recommended a few amazing restaurants for us to try out while we were on the island. We will definitely be back to the Vasilicos!

Vasilicos is such a beautiful heritage property with Caldera view. Quiet and yet convenient. Good breakfast provided and staff are superb. Dimitris Zdrava is so friendly, helpful, caring, the best I ever met. He always walk around the property to make sure every thing is ok with the guests. I left my splint in a small box when I checked out. Only knew it after arrived Athens. I wrote to Vasilicos to check. Dimitris checked with housekeeping and found it. I requested him to help me send back. He took the trouble to go post office for me. I am so impressed by his excellent attitude and extra effort put in. He always replies email promptly. Other staff like Chris who brought our breakfast, carried our luggage, is very polite and attentive too. Cleaners are also very friendly.

The location of the villa was great. Very private and away from crowds and very easy to get to. The rooms were huge, the beds and pillows were extraordinary. One of the best things would be the staff. All of them were very friendly and helpful to helping us have the best experience in Santorini. Airport transfer, car rental, restaurant choices, were all settled by them. We felt we were really well taken care of and thus able to have an awesome time in Santorini.

It's difficult to put into words just how wonderful a place The Vasilicos is. From the stunning views, tranquility and beauty of the place, to the exceptional staff - everything is perfect. We spent a week on the island and saw a lot of it, as well as a number of hotels as we hiked around. None of them looked like they had quite what The Vasilicos has to offer. With only a handful of rooms, the hotel is secluded and a haven from the busier areas of the island. As a result, everything is catered to your needs - the staff go above and beyond and are intuitive and attentive - while the whole place is so elegantly yet simply furnished with some lovely touches and personalised elements. Breakfast is superb, brought to your room at a time of your choosing, and the chef is brilliant - do take the opportunity of having dinner brought to you while you're there. If you're undecided on which of the many impressive hotels to stay in while you're on Santorini - stop, and book The Vasilicos. The only downside is you won't want to leave once you get there!

The entire property is very elegant with private rooms and exceptional views. These are the best views of the caldera. The entire staff's warm and personalized service was truly special. A big shout out to Dimitris and Chris and chef John and everyone in housekeeping! My toddler celebrated her 3rd birthday here and the staff made a surprise birthday cake for her which made her day! The service has been above and beyond in general. This is a boutique property with just seven suites. This makes it a truly elevated experience in Santorini that would be hard to replicate. I cannot say enough about the view from the expansive private terrace of our suite! We didn’t want to go anywhere else with a view like that! Perks also include excellent breakfast served at your room with a view and convenient on-site parking.

It was so awesome to be at The Vasilicos. The room was beautiful. We just never got enough of the view. The staff was so kind-everyone of them. Breakfast for so very special. Our romantic dinner on our patio was one of the best meals we've ever had. It was such a relaxing, beautiful inn.

Everything was great, if I have to say one thing it would be to get fresher towels and a better bed. Bed was still quite good but compared to the whole experience it could be more comfortable.

Everything. We stayed in the King Cat and it was perfect. We even had a regular cat visitor! The view of the caldera, the staff, the location—quiet and away from the chaos of Oia and Fira—but close enough to walk to town. The details and the toiletries in the rooms are so thoughtful, the food (especially the breakfast) is excellent, and every single staff person is lovely. The view from the pool though, is reason enough to come. Breathtaking, and the silence! It’s so quiet, unbelievably peaceful. Also, for LGBTQ travelers, the whole island, this hotel on particular was so great. No questions about “are you sisters?”. Just so welcoming.

We had a wonderful stay at Vasilicos! The staff were so helpful and friendly. Special shout out to Dimitri (manager at the hotel). He organised everything we wanted or needed, from reservations to transport. We had breakfast by ours rooms with the beautiful view. The great thing about the hotel is that it is nicely hidden from the main footpath so you have peace and quiet (unlike most hotels). But you are still a very short walk away from restaurants and Thera. Overall it has just been so lovely and definitely the most spectacular view!

Our suite (Belvedere) was (in our opinion) the best suite. Massive terrace to have breakfast on and sunbath on looking out uninterrupted across the caldera. There is even a sofa area to admire the view from. Had our own jacuzzi, yet the main pool was 10 seconds away on the level below. Sunsets were amazing from the terrace.

Fantastic location, between Fira/Thera and Imerovigli - 5 mins walk to each. Incredible uninterrupted views across the caldera and to watch the sunset. Quality throughout in every area. The staff were wonderful, so welcoming, so friendly. Checking often enough if you need anything, but not too much so as to give you space if you’re staying around the hotel in the day. Each day in the afternoon, we were brought little ‘gifts’ including ice creams and even Greek Grappa one day.

There was nothing that we didn't love at this hotel!

We travel a lot and have pretty high standards for hotels. The Vasilicos blew us away! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome. Sandy met us at the car and showed us around while the guys took care of our luggage. She even had some white wine for us (which is amazing!) Throughout the entire week they were there to help with anything no matter how big or small. For example, our driver was late (we had a scheduled tour) so Sandy immediately got on the phone and took care of it. We stayed in the Belvedere suite and the views were amazing, definitely worth the price. The location was perfect and only a 10 min walk to Fira (our favorite city on the island). I highly suggest having dinner at the hotel at least one or more nights. The lamb was the best we ever had (and I don't normally eat lamb!) This chef is outstanding! I don't think people realize that most of the staff on the island works 7 days a week during their 7-month season. We stayed towards the end of the season, and they were still so nice and gracious!!! I cannot wait to stay here again! 10 out of 10!!!

Hard to think of anything negative. One side of the bed is against a wall which could maybe be a bit bothersome for some, but wasn’t really any trouble for us.

The view, the room, the pool, the breakfast and the service from the wonderful staff. Most of all the “quiet” on an otherwise very busy island!

Wish we would have stayed longer!!

My wife and I stayed at The Vasilicos during our honeymoon in Greece. For context we have traveled all over the world and stayed at many famous 5 Star hotels and resorts. The Vasilicos was a unique and amazing experience. The Staff The Resort has 7 rooms and 8 staff. While we were here Sandy ran the front desk and was Concierge during the day. She is a wonderful person, knowledgeable, kind, fun and a friend to all the guests. Everyone here works very hard to make your stay perfect. The Chef's are amazing, The butler's/bellman/waiters were terrific. The cleaning team were excellent, the whole resort is very clean. I can't say enough good things about the people who work here, 6 stars! The Resort Its an old monastery sitting high up on a cliff looking down into the caldera. Its just outside of Imeroviglia which is just a couple minute walk up the hill. The rooms are very unique and quaint. They are befitting of a old Greek monastery. The décor is Greek Isles all the way, wood floors and white walls. We stayed in the Pergola Suite which was just lovely. The main room had a sitting area and king bed. Our bathroom looked like a stucco cave, was good sized with a big sink and open shower. We also had a large walk in closet and a little refreshment area with a fridge. The best part of the Pergola Suite is the patio with 2 lounge chairs, a built in eating area, and a hot tub. The Food The chefs are fantastic and happily come to your room to speak with you. They will make you breakfast, lunch and dinner if you like. The menu is posted to the website. We had breakfast everyday during our stay which was great, eggs, toast, yogurt, fruit, fresh OJ, etc. Everything was always fresh and excellent. Overall I love this resort for its character, view, rooms and fabulous staff who made us feel like we were friends and at the same time King and Queen.
