Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyRoom was not sound proof but we weren't bothered. One day was cold outside and I didn't manage to rutn on the heating but it wasn''t necessary, there was a blanket and a quilt for the night and I have to say thah we are very winter threatened.
First of all hospitality and professionalism. Food was great, many options and very delicious. Room was very good, fantastic view and very clean. Room service evry day with changing sheets and towels every second day. Local transportation was good, fast and cheap. Close to beautifull beaches and Heraklion.

Romania- extra pay for beach towels - wi-fi was a nightmare (frankly it didn't work at all) - you had to pay for beach sunbeds for the whole day even if you stayed 1-2 hours in the afternoon
- friendliness of the staff (especially the manager of the restaurant) - close to a really nice sandy beach - close to shops and other restaurants

HungaryThe wi-fi was very slow, sometimes my devices could not connect to the network. It wasn't very disturbing tough, as we went for a holiday and not to surf the internet. :)
The hotel has a great location, very close to the airport, but also in a quieter beach area. The pool was superb, but also the beach was very close. We moved around a lot by car, for which the hotel was a perfect start, they provided parking space free of charge, and there were several rental services close by.

United StatesI stayed here for one night only to start my stay in Crete. A few notes: 1) hotel is quite dated and feels like I am in the 80’s 2) Food was ok but of average quality. You will get sick of the food at Day 3) my room was quite small! Not much space. 4) I would not stay in this area as it’s in tourist area and feels touristy

CyprusThe worst hotel ever!!!!! Not even 2star. It says 4 star hotel and you expect the equivalent service. Hardly smiling receptionists, no Wi-Fi in the entire hotel and with the restrictions in roaming through Europe made it difficult for me to work. Now Aircondition appliance but some sort of old fashion thing with a plastic container under it and water was dripping. Breakfast was average. You had to pay for the sun-beds on the beach with the excuse that the beach belongs to the municipality and lots of locals visit it. Charge the locals. Find a way for your guests who pay 200 euro per day to use them for free. It’s not the 7 euro a set it’s just not not reasonable. Old deteriorated towels, smelly sheets, small rooms. There was a mosquito dead on the wall and no one bothered to clean it. Beds are so hard that I woke up every morning having all my body aching. The hotel itself is old fashion, reminded me the 80s, old furniture in the corridors. It’s a big no for me and I regret giving my money.
Only the beach nearby

United States1. Sea View Room. Very dated hotel - saw its prime in the early 80's with furnitute decor and tile matching that era. When given the key (an actual key not electronic) to the room we should have left - only 1 key so it forced us to stay together as a group. Unable to use the safe in the room as no key was provided and honestly didn't feel safe locking anything in the safe. Air conditioner wall unit leaked water onto the floor- the fix from the hotel was put towel under the unit and for us to replace frequently. The bathroom had discolored caulk which looked dirty due to its age (housekeeping did keep it clean), however it was a turn-off to see gobs of caulk between the toilet and wall to stop movement & how caulk was applied with a butter knife in the tub which had a rickety faucet. 2. Beach and Pool Area. A huge disappointment. They charge 1 euro per day per towel however require a 10 euro deposit per towel in cash at the pool bar - no way to charge it to your room & no ATM at hotel - they told me to go to town - yes I learned this after standing in line for 15 minutes because it's one person working at the pool bar making drinks & handing out towels after writing your information in a notebook (no automation) - so after that with no towels we headed to the beach and were told the beach is NOT part of the hotel and requires 7 euros for the beach access - I laughed and said we were leaving when asked "so you will pay?" When I discussed with the front desk about the hotel charge to access the beach , I was told that everywhere in Greece you pay for the beach and its a law - both statements are false but this apparently is how the hotel is getting more money from guests. The beach quality in that part of Crete is very silty unlike other parts of Crete. 3. Buffet. It was edible. Go early otherwise food gets cold. Dirty windows in buffet took away from ambience. 4.
We had a sea view room. The view was very nice and the balcony was quite large. Based on the angle of the hotel we weren't able to see a full sunset or sunrise. The hotel does entertainment in the evenings so that was nice for the guests. Housekeeping came everyday.

HungaryWe could get our room much earlier, and I think with the best balcony view of the hotel. Much better than we expected. The food was excellent, next time we go for all inclusive. The beach is really close. The magic hands of Janis at the spa can not be missed, next time I will definitely choose the full body massage. I can not wait for our next visit to this hotel.

HungaryFor me, It dosen't really matter that the bathroom is a bit dated and room door. I understand, because the hotel is full all the time, hard to renovate them. But who cares when everything else is over expectation for me :)
I just came back from one of my best holiday ever :) I did't understand why the hotel was under rated, but I had a very good feeling about the place and booked a sea view room. Thank you for the hotel manager, communication was great all the way. The hotel was over my expectation. Great location, very clean hotel by a blue flag beach. Very nice landscape, every day clean rooms, pool area, bar, amazing breakfast. Everyday animation. People can't be bored. Hotel is located in the village center, restaurants, souvenir shops, markets, rent a cars everywhere. It's worth to rent a car and discover the island, is amazing everywhere you go. I wish I could visit here every year!

Bulgaria1. The hotel if far-far away from the 4 Stars hotel in the meaning of furniture, design, cleaning, food, service! 2. The most awful was that we did not have hot water. We checked in at about 22h as we needed to overnight and it was a very negative surprise when realized that there is not hot water. Tried to call the reception but the telephone was not connected and seems it was out of order for several years. 3. No telephone connection at the room. 4. The food for the breakfast was very poor and very low cost. 5. The service at the breakfast. When I asked if they have milk butter/ but not palm butter/ I was sent to the shop to buy if I need. And I cant understand if it is that difficult to offer a real milk butter in a 4 star hotel instead if palm oil???? 6. The beds in the room were fully covered with bed covers which is either not hygienic, nor esthetic. 7. The cleanliness
The hotel has a nice location and that is all we liked!

CanadaThe hotel is still flying the Russian flag at the front entrance in July of 2022. Some parts in the hotel room were broken or loose. A lot of the entertainment is in French and you are forced to listen to it, if you want to sit in public areas. The breakfast was very blant and did not offer a variety of fruits or vegetables. The only good thing were the crepes, but only done right by one cook. The other cook under cooked them.
