How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Valeriana Studios was such a nice surprise to me. The facility is located very close of the city center and various attractions, city beaches, restaurants, supermarkets etc. The apartment is extremely clean and cozy, equipped with a nice kitchen and lovely balcony, in parking is very close to facility and Christina is a great host, hardworking, ready to help the clients for anything in any moment of the day. I can consider this place as a little jewel of Parga. Thank you Christina for your marvelous hospitality. I am looking forward to be back again!😍

Nothing not to like.
This apartment was awesome!! Christina the host, was so attentive and helpful, with nothing being too much trouble. What a superstar!! The location is fantastic, with restaurants, a supermarket, and coffee shops all within walking distance. Beaches are also very close by. We had a great stay, and at the price point, it is highly recommended.

We stayed 10 days in Valeriana studios and absolutely loved staying there. The host, Helena, is so kind and helpful! The accomodation is very clean, comfortable, and close to the beaches and city center. Definitely recommend staying in Valeriana studios!

This is not a criticism but - I really don't see the need to clean everything every day, new towels, sheets etc. Yes it was nice in one way but seems like a lot of unnecessary laundry for just one person who just slept there at night. Bins emptied every day, even if it was just a tea bag. Just seems a waste of plastic bags. I would have preferred to opt out of all this, I was only there 4 nights. The lady Christina was very sweet though and I am sure she had my comfort etc in mind.
The location was great - about 6 minute walk to the harbour, great restaurant about 1 minute away and secure parking.

Everything was super!
Christina is very hospitable and kind, all the time she made sure everything was ok! The place has a very good location, very close to Valtos beach, the Venetian castle and the old town. The studio is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the mattresses are extremely comfortable! Cleaning every day as well as change of towels and sheets! Thank you, Christina, for a wonderful vacation!

Nothing at all!
We liked everything! The value for money was excellent, the place was spotless and housekeeping everyday if you wished. The most comfortable beds, the best pillows we have ever had in Greece (down filled), nice warm blankets on the beds, excellent linen and towels. Great location with private parking, short walk to the waterfront and grocery store and a nice little place to sit outside on the balcony. And last but not least a very lovely friendly host Christina.

I loved everything! Christina is the best host ever! My favorite accommodation after a month of traveling in Greece and one of my favorite international accommodations ever. Everything either is or looks very new. You can’t beat the price, location and comfort of this beautiful place.

The location was good, near to everything but our flat was facing the road so it was sometimes quite hard to sleep with the noise of the traffic.
The host was very nice and kept the place exceptionally clean and welcoming, even tidying up our own personal stuff respectfully, thanks!!

The noise, it was on the main road into the town, very noisy with motor bikes

I can’t think of any negatives regarding the property except to point out that there is no real reception and therefore don’t make my mistake and start wondering about.
This is a lovely property that is very clean and modern and gives you everything you need for a great stay. The lady who owns and cleans the property is great and makes sure you have everything you need. The air-con works a treat and just the small touches like leaving a small bottle of water in the fridge on your first night says everything you need to know!
