Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Very pleasant staff, clean rooms. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel for the busses that go to the center and airport. A beach nearby 10min walk.

There was a beautiful sea view from the balcony. The design was nice. The breakfast was delicious and various. The beach was close to The hotel. You can reach everything by bus. The staff so kind and helpful.

United KingdomThe most annoying part was loud guests checking in at night who didn't care about people sleeping. Also the housekeepers were moving the chairs loudly during their cleaning. The thin walls and tiled floor made the noise worse The shower head holder was broken so it couldn't hold the shower head which made it uncomfortable to shower. The view from the balcony wasn't great and there was a road close to the hotel with lots of loud motorcycles cars and what not. The area is not the best either.
The breakfasts were delicious with lots of variety. The room was spacious and a good size balcony. There is Lidl and another huge Greek supermarket nearby. 5 mins from the nearby beach.

United KingdomI don't know if the last-minute nature of our booking meant the hotel had to scramble a bit to get the room together but there was no plug for the bath and no shower curtain either. No kettle in the room either, which for a tea-obsessed Brit was a disappointment but, as I say, this saved us in the middle of the night. Though breakfast was pretty good, nectarines were the only fresh fruit available; everything else was tinned. My preference is for a decent healthy dose of fruit at the start of the day so I think that would have bothered me, were I staying more than one night. It was a 30 Euro taxi ride from the station (easyJet have picked up this bill for the cancellation).
This was an emergency booking when our flight got cancelled so we arrive late but were very glad to get into comfortable beds in a decent size room with a balcony. The next day, while we waited for our new flight, we enjoyed a decent breakfast with plenty of options (particularly for carb fans). The staff were all lovely, helpful and accommodating. They let us store our bags with them whilst we made use of the pool which was lovely to cool off in when the lounger-based sun-soaking got too much. Bus back to the airport was a lovely way to weave through the city on our way home and only cost 2 Euros each.

IrelandHotel rooms are a little outdated in decoration but still have all the basic amenities. Hotel is not a walking distance to the city in my opinion, and would be better suited for a person travelling with car. Many breakfast options were available, however not all were very good quality (bacon had consistency of leather). Hotel.is also situated between two busy roads so there is some traffic noise all throughout the day.
Hotel went through, what seems like recent renovations. The pool area is clean and nice, pool itself.is deep 2.9m on one end, the reception is very well maintained and modern. Staff was helpful at the reception desk.

Seriously, I'd say it's a great place for the value. Thus, breakfasts here are rather tasty, though their variations are a bit limited. Our room was big and spacious, everything you need here (including TV, hairdryer, air conditioner). Also they cleaned the room every single day, adding toilet paper and soap/shampoo when needed. It's worth mentioning there is a supermarket just across the road and another one (Lidl) nearby, and since we had a fridge in the room, well... buying a pack of water is a good idea. The nearest beach is a 5-7 minute walk. We enjoyed our time here

SerbiaHotel is very nice, pool is excellent, breakfast is good, everything is very very clean, which is important to me and the staff and service is excellent. Location is good, the bus station to the center of Heraklion is near by hotel, so it's very easy to visit the city or Knossos palace Also, near by is a hipermarket, if you need something, so the location has lots of positive characteristics. It takes about 10 min by foot to the nice beach. The most important for me is the nice and very pollite staff and service that you can get in this hotel. I will recommend it to my friends and family.

SwedenUnfortunately the breakfast was really bad for us. Omlet was the worst I have ever tried. No juices just nectars full of sugar. It was really hard to choose something to eat for us.
Just few minutes with bus to reach the city. Nice and comfy rooms. We enjoyed the pool because the beach was not the nicest one compare to the one we visited before on Crete.

UkraineThere is one thing which was really unbearable - noise. We lived at the 4th floor and we were lucky because we didn’t hear noises from the street. However, we weren’t so lucky with the neighbors. French-speaking young people living next to us were constantly bumping the door 4 times in a row in the middle of the night (1-2am). And after that they were screaming and laughing like nobody else lived there except them. I simply couldn’t sleep because of that noise, I could hear everything, like they were in my room. Soundproofing must be better!
Everything was close to perfect. I would like to express my gratitude to the workers at the reception desk - they were always kind, understanding and helpful. People, who were working at the restaurant were also very nice and helpful, especially the man who was frying pancakes. Without those people our stay wouldn’t we so comfortable. When we arrived too early for the check in, we were allowed to leave the suitcases in the lobby. When we checked out and had some time before the flight, we were allowed to use the swimming pool. I’m grateful for that! The breakfast food was varied and every day there was something new what is important when you stay there for 10 days. The location is amazing, you can get from the airport for 1,5€ and the bus stop is just in front of the hotel. The bus stop to the city center is also very conveniently located.
