Nothing not to like...but if you are hoping for any nearby amenities then this may not be the place for you. It is surrounded by farmland and pistachio trees. Which we liked!

Great accommodation in a quiet rural location an easy taxi ride from the airport. Comfortable good sized rooms and shared living space with the option of evening meals and breakfast. Staff are very welcoming and helpful.

My flight got in very late and I had to leave very early the next morning for another flight. My host made sure I had transportation to and from the airport on both ends, and that I got my key to my room without issue. It was close to the airport, which is exactly what I needed for the few hours I had between my flights. The room was perfect for my crazy itinerary.

It was a little tricky to find but offered everything we needed!

This was the perfect stay for 1 night before heading to Crete. It functioned very much like a bed and breakfast and we had such a nice time. The hosts were incredibly gracious and made sure we felt very welcome. They prepared us an amazing dinner and also were able to accommodate a bit earlier breakfast because of our flight time. The room was perfect for the 3 of us and we got a good nights sleep. They also helped arrange taxi pick up and drop off services from the Athens airport, which is close by. The drivers were great.

We had a quick stay with a late flight back into Athens before our departure home the next day. The property is close to the airport and conveniently provided seemless transportation to and from the airport. The staff was also absolutely amazing. Our flight into Athens was delayed, so they stayed a little late to ensure we were able to get a meal that evening. Very kind and considerate.

I was looking for a room close to Athens Airport and Varaba Country House was amazing. It is only 10 minutes from the airport, they organised a driver for us for a reasonable price to pick us up and drop us back for our flight out the next day. We had a relaxing afternoon sitting on the patio and then enjoyed an excellent home cooked Greek dinner. The hosts are wonderful and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was also lovely on the patio in the morning.

Noise — it is very close to the airport runways with planes landing and taking off till midnight, and starting again before 6 in the morning; there are stray dogs in the fields that bark at all hours; the walls are quite thin and you can hear the other guests.

Pretty and small hotel in the middle of fields of grapevines and olive trees. Very friendly and helpful staff. Well-equipped rooms with comfortable bed. Excellent dinner at reasonable price.

Although the airport transfers were great, I wish they were a little less expensive. (They were 25 euros each way.)

Nicolia was excellent in communicating and responding to questions. They made the airport transfers very easy and worry free. The quiet country place was exactly what we needed after a long flight with jet lag. Dinner was excellent and very reasonable cost.

When I pulled back the blanket the bottom sheet had what appeared to be animal hair in a small clump on it. I threw it away and crawled in.

Nicolia met me at the gate and helped with getting my bags to the room. The room was pleasant looking with it's own patio. The dinner was very delicious and beautifully served.

The bed wasn't uncomfortable but the bedding was a bit strange and kept falling off us.

Taxi arranged to collect us from the airport and the driver took our luggage to our room. Same in reverse the next day when we returned to the airport. Great Service. The dinner provided was excellent and great value as was breakfast.

No desk or surface to work on in the room and its hard to work in the common area due to noise and dog. Our room was next to the dining area and below another room, which had too little insulation, which made it hard to go to sleep. Add to that ongoing airplane noise and it does not make for a restful night. Bring earplugs and avoid the bottom room by the front if you are light sleeper.

Very friendly service by the host and employees. Everyone was always ready to help, even with an early check in. The room and bathroom were spacious and modern. Nice well kept house and large outdoor seating areas. Parking was ample in a dirt lot by a little church. Remember to ask beforehand if you need the car behind the gate. The property is good for an overnight stay before or after a flight.

We may have booked two rooms if we knew how the loft had the sloped ceiling. It all worked out though and we loved our stay.

It was peaceful, comfortable and a villa type feeling. The Hosts were amazing with their hospitality and overall caring approach to making our stay exceptional.

Barking dogs through the night but that isn't the fault of the accommodation. Airplane noise being so close to the airport I didn't factor that in as we seemed to be under the flight path but we only stayed 1 night before flying out so wasn't too bad, and the planes did stop after midnight I think.

Beautiful accommodation close to the airport and great dinner and wine, the host was very lovely and loved her puppy dog too. We could park our cars there also before leaving for the airport early in the morning.

With the hotel being well located in close proximity to the airport, comes the downside that planes fly over the accomodation, which at times could be loud.

Overall the hotel is very well located and in close proximity to the airport. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel offered a nice dinner service, which we enjoyed.

There was a dog barking outside at a nearby property all night long. It didn't make for the most restful night's sleep. There are cats and a dog on the property. That doesn't bother us, but it might bother some.

In many ways, this was my favorite stay in Athens. We only stayed there one night, as I suspect is the case for most people, since it's so close to the airport. But in some ways, it was my favorite place. It is truly in the country, with farms all around it. We went for a small walk and it was very peaceful. The very old church (from the 11th or 12th century) across the road was interesting to visit too. There is a small town within walking distance. We didn't go, but one of our fellow travelers did and said that it had some interesting shops & restaurants.

Nikolia was very helpful, cooperative and friendly. The property is very pretty and for people looking for a quiet country type outing in Athens and close to the airport, this is the best you can get! We were also offered complimentary wine on our arrival. Our pick up from the city and then drop off early morning to the airport was also organised via Varaba. So overall an excellent time, albeit very less...

This was a fabulous country house about 15 mins from Athens Intl airport in the fields of pistacho and olive trees, and a small church. A very special spot. We spent 7 hrs sitting in the courtyard enjoying the views and later, with some new friends over dinner. The taxi had our name up to meet us at airport arrivals and also took us back the next day. Super visit and very convenient.
