How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The apartment was tastefully decorated and completely equipped with everything we needed. The host was beyond gracious and made us feel as if we were home! We will definitely return there and have recommended Venetiko Villas to our family and friends. This is how a vacation rental should be run!!! Niko could teach other property owners the way to run an establishment.

The villa is incredibly beautiful - huge scenic garden, gorgeous relaxing pool and spacious apartments. The host is also very gracious. He was always ready to help, offer advice, and we are immensely grateful for his kindness. We enjoyed our stay so much, that we extended it! The rooms are clean, well equipped with everything you may need, and stocked up with coffee, bread, jams, water bottles etc. The parking is close and accessible, right outside the villa. The city centre of Nafpaktos is just a 5 minute drive away and it is a city worth visiting many times - rich with history, culture and delicious food. Patras is also close which you can travel to by driving across the architecturally stunning bridge or the ferry - either mode of transport is quite the experience. There is a mini market just below the villa which is quite convenient - and it happens to make very tasty coffee which is a huge plus! All in all, we had a wonderful experience with the villa and wholeheartedly recommend this excellent accommodation!

Basic bathrooms and showers.
Nice swimming pool to stay cool during the hot summer. 500m away from the public beach. Of course you need to have a car at all times as it is really on its own far from amenities and and the city. Great friendly host.

It was just Perfect. The host was very friendly and helpful, gave us tips regarding the area. The kitchen was fully equipped and had an initial supply of Bread, butter and jam, tea, and coffee (all kinds), and 12 bottles of mineral waters. The Vila also had a washing machine which we used and 4 balconies. The garden and the pool are clean and very nice and pleasant. I highly recommend staying there in case you are in the area.

everything was great.
Great facilities, owners were awesome. They went above and beyond to meet any needs. They home was very clean with way more amenities than expected! Thank you. Definitely recommended! We will hopefully be back soon.

All was perfect
We used the property during summer time and we had already a very positive experience, so it was automatic for us to choose it also for a long weekend for Patra's carnival

Everything was wonderful. The wi fi upstairs was a little temperamental but to be honest it was a welcome break from screens at night.
The first floor double storey villa was exceptionally clean, impeccably furnished and had a wonderful garden and swimming pool. Our host Nick couldnt have been more charming and catered to our every whim, fresh tomatoes , olive oil, bicycles, in fact it became a challenge to find something he couldn’t conjure up. On arrival the villa kitchen had fresh bread, preserves, coffee and everything you would need to settle in. The views of the surrounding hillside and view over the Corinthian Gulf were outstanding and it was a short walk down the hill to the beach. Very centrally located for the quaint medieval town of Nafpaktos and a great starting point for Ancient Delphi and Olympia and only a couple of hours drive into Athens.
