Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

If you are looking for a perfect place to stay in Almirida, you should stop here and book Villa Alimedon. This place has absolutely everything for ideal holiday time with family. The pool and garden are beautifuly maintained and Villa itself is so spacious (two separate apartments in case you are going. with grandparents:)) and has everything we could think of- starting from towels, kitches equipments, baby crib and chair to even socket protection! Our host Natassa was very friendly, gave us lots of tips and welcomed us with snacks and local pies for breakfast. We totally recommend this place, so far it was the best place we have ever stay during our travells in Europe. Totally amazing!

United KingdomLovely pool area to relax, close to the beach, plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, convenient for excursions particularly the town of Chania. Accommodation had everything we needed and the host was brilliant, we got a generous welcome pack and her communication was great throughout.

United KingdomLoads of stray cats around especially at dinner- not owners fault that's Greece! Shower pressure isn't great.
The Villa was great for us set over 2 levels with downstairs apartment being 2 bedrooms and upstairs being 1, it meant as a mixed family myself & my partner could have privacy upstairs and still be all together. Outside staircase wasn't a problem but would have been for the older members of the family. Villa owner- Natassa is so lovely she met us and showed us everything we needed to know and was always on hand to help, she even left us an air pump upon seeing we had inflatables with us, she brought us pastries from the Bakery which were amazing! She came to clean & do the bins once in the week too which was great. She was also there when we left to help with bags and translating to the car hire company. The pool is LOVELY with steps and a baby pool area for little ones, only thing I would say is from the pictures it looks really far away from the house but its so close the piece of grass between is only small. The outdoor eating area around the back is also great, although bit annoying there is no door that side of the house so we had to carry everything from kitchen- we cracked this though by putting everything in the laundry basket and lowering it down from the bedroom!! Location is FANTASTIC, I found it really hard to find a villa for all of us near amenities to walk to, you don't even need a car! Bakery with coffee isn't even a 5 min walk away, so is the mini market- if you want to get a taxi to the big supermarket you can walk down to the depo where there is an office and wait. Loads of restaurants, a cocktail bar, shops and a car hire place you can pick up a day hire for 60 euros. We just had the best time, we then went to another villa after for another week and that was naff compared! Would definitely visit again!!Thanks so much Natassa- we loved it so much xxx Taxi to big supermarket- 15 euros Coffee & Pastry- 4 euros car hire for the day- 60 euros+

NorwayVilla Alimedon was everything we hoped it would be and more. We had a fantastic stay. The pool and outside area is very nice and neat, and we enjoyed playing in the pool and relaxing on the sunbeds. Perfekt for the kids. The house is plenty big and has lots of places to sit outdoors on balconies and terraces. Our eldest moved into the appartment on the second flor so he got the space and privacy a teenager craves, while our youngest had her own room next to the grown-ups. The house was clean and nice and we found all we needed in the kitchen and elsewhere. Plenty of towels for the bathroom and beach. The host was very welcoming and came by during the week to keep the pool and also to clean the house halfway through our stay. The beach and restaurants are only a short walk from the house. The beach is not big, but very nice, and not too crowded. We always found a good spot. Lots of restaurants with the variation you would expect to find in a small Greek holiday town. We found nice activities in the area. A boat trip with snorkeling and trip to Lake Kournas was very fun. The bigger cities Chania and Rethymno is also not too far away, we liked the latter best. Villa Alimedon is a great place to stay and both the Villa and host will meet your expectations and more. Highly recommended!
