The hotel easily gets an A for Awesome! Once the pool/patio door opens one thing is made absolutely clear to the guest: a lot of love and care has been paid to this facility! Everything is in a beautiful order, nothing is left on luck. A very caring host, an amazing two-room apartment equipped with all a family or couple may need for spending a relaxing stay. Everything is clean, well taken care for, everything works ans everything is comfortable and cosy. The hotel is very close to the village centre which is teeming with local life in an easy going atmosphere. Tavernas, bars, local food shops, supermarkets...all you will ever need. And the village is surrounded by nature! Vineyards, pine forests, mountain hike paths. And the city of Heraklion is just 20 mins away. An ideal place to stay, overall. Cannot wait to visit again! Nothing, the place is great!

We loved our cozy apartment, the wonderful breakfasts, and pool. The beds were really comfortable and we liked being in the mountains which cool off so nicely in the evenings. Villa Archanes is in a beautiful neighborhood in a charming, authentic Crete village with great walks, restaurants, wineries, and olive farms nearby. We were in Greece for two weeks and Villa Archanes was by far my favorite place I stayed.

We liked everything

Our first night in Crete, coming late in the evening. Vasilis have welcomed us with raki and home-made sweet lemon. Sitting in the courtyard in warm Cretan night was very much appreciated after the flight. Location is perfect for discovering of Knossos and surroundings of Heraclion and mountain villages around. House is nicely renovated, appartment spacious and well equipped and already mentioned courtyard with the pool has lovely and homie charm. And we had the best breakfast from all our Cretan trip.

The separate units are quite crammed in. It would be good to have more space for each to facilitate eating outside and it would be good to have more sun loungers to go round.

Location was nice and you can have a nice walk to Archanes village with several shops and restaurants. Easy to park and to reach provided that you follow the host guidelines and go through Kaligari. Breakfast was truly delicious.

Our kids reported that the single beds in the loft were a little hard. Other than that, no complaints. We highly recommend this accommodation if you are in Archanes.

We stayed in the family suite and immediately felt at home. The pool was a welcome first stop for us, and then we explore the town, which was very interesting. We were even lucky enough to eat dinner in the Square when live music was playing. The breakfast in the morning was also a highlight. Lots of options and delicious.

Archanes village is ugly. Almost everything in the village center was closed, dirty and in bad condition. Stay in villa was perfect but you have to go outside from the village for trips.

We would have liked to have stayed longer to explore what this beautiful area has to offer in terms of cuisine and walks.

This was the best of Cretan hospitality. We were greeted warmly and offered a welcome drink of raki and some soft fruits. Our accommodation was spotlessly clean,comfortable and relaxing. Vasilis and Christa were the most attentive hosts and we wanted for nothing. Breakfast was plentiful,fresh and served with care and attention. I had an injury from hiking the Samaria Gorge and they anxious that I would be OK asking each morning if there was anything I needed them to do for me.

Beautiful conversion of an old family farm property. Old features retained and renovated in traditional style. Very comfortable - excellent facilities. It was’t quite warm enough to use the pool but it looked very inviting! Property was very convenient for Knossoss and Iraklio. Very close to town with lots of dinner options. Lovely warm welcome from our host with some good local tips

It was difficult to find when I arrived- the streets in Archanes are challenging when you come with your own car. The apartment was nice, however quite small. The bedroom was located on an upper level under the roof and the ceiling is very low.

The location above the town is wonderful. The host and staff were so friendly!

This is our second stay. We love the location a short walk to the village square and the friendly and hospitable atmosphere the host has created. The villas are spacious and comfortable.

This had nothing to do with the accommodation, but it is good to know that it is on a hill and less suitable for people with mobility problems. Our navigation sent us through small streets in the village, while there is a more pleasant route from the other side. It would be nice to know that in advance.

Very friendly welcome and explanation of hiking routes. Spacious, clean room. Things like coffee and oil are provided. Good internet. Good bed and pleasant shower. Owner is easy to reach in case of questions or problems via WhatsApp.
