The only minor issue was the Wi-Fi wasn’t good in our room but our friends didn’t have any problems and it was fine in the communal areas. Although in this day and age it is good to get away from it all, so not necessarily a negative for us.

Villa Ippocampi was a haven of relaxation. The staff particularly Maria were lovely. It was on the edge of the town, so peaceful but a short walk to all the facilities, which included some fantastic restaurants. I loved the little restaurant and the setting around the pool. The apartments were spacious and clean. I would definitely return and was sorry to leave.

Lovely ambiance, exterior and interiors were lovely, well kept and clean. Maria was absolutely fantastic, great breakfasts, lunches and so helpful.

Too many Germans.

This place felt like a comfortable beachside home. The staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. Nikos can talk politics whilst Maria makes you another ouzo cocktail to let down your guard. Such a charming little place in a charming little village. I wish I could have spent more time there, but stayed only One night at The tail end of 2 weeks in Crete. I would have been quite comfortable and relaxed and cared for had I stayed a few more days. Proximity to good beaches was a plus, only 20 min from HER and there’s parking right across the entry. Pool is a charming size, very clean. Would highly recommend.

Super friendly hosts, amazing villa, very nice pool. The location is actually very nice because you are next to authentic villages and far from the buzz of the actual city.

The whole area is a complete disgrace to Cretan tourism. I would never recomend this area to anyone.

Property is very nice indeed. This is just as well as Hersonossis is a complete dump.

Wifi wasn't the best - but we managed ok - bed a little uncomfortable but didn't exactly stop us from having an amazing stay!

It's a great location up a hill and set a bit back off the main street. Pool was good, room was charming, balcony great, loved the grounds with the olive, orange and lemon trees, Maria and Nikos and staff fantastic and welcoming - honestly loved the place!

air-condition only in the living room (if you want to have it cold in the sleeping room, you need to turn the air-con quite cold -> needs a lot of energy for „nothing“), Wi-Fi didn’t really work in our room

Staff was very kind and helpful. Also the breakfast was amazing! Not included in price of room but affordable add-on. Loved the pool! Also the hotel is located close to a cute street lined with restaurants. Would absolutely stay again.

a beautiful hotel where you know you’re in Greece as soon as you step through the gate. Maria is an absolute gem and makes the best coffee on the island. we enjoyed a fresh breakfast every morning in that beautiful setting while chatting with other guests and the lovely ( extremely knowledgeable and friendly) Maria. We followed all of her recommendations and no doubt it was the reason we enjoyed our stay so much.

The Wifi was unusable (so slow that the page doesn't even load). We had to use mobile data the whole time. The a/c unfortunately doesn't reach the bedroom which is where it matters most (for us, to sleep). The staff were very kind to lend us a fan for our room, but even then, it was quite hot and we often went to sleep sweaty. To be fair, it was unseasonably hot weather on a few days.

Such a beautiful, calm place, thoughtfully designed and decorated. Great small pool, plenty of areas to relax. Maria was incredibly kind and provided the absolute top level of service - she made our trip special! Delightful little cafe. Good location, away from the crowds but very accessible.
