Fantastic pool and outside seating/dining areas. More than enough comfortable sun beds and the sunset view from the pool was just amazing. The location was perfect 5-10 minute walk into the town where there are an array of shops, bars and restaurants. The long and beautiful beach is approx 15 minute walk from the property. Thank you to George & Silvia who were the perfect hosts, so kind, warm and welcoming and not forgetting our cleaner Joanna.

This property has great privacy, you can enjoy all amenities without any others, it has great location (only 5 min walk to platanias square), extremely clean (housekeeping well maintained), all kitchenette and outdoor grill. Excellent hosts, George and Silva.

we found some of the kitchen utensils a bit lacking, also toaster would we a good idea to be added, having a cleaning lady coming every day is a nice thing, but when the weather outside gets bad and you want to stay in the apartment, this could be skipped

the location, the view, the apartment is just outstanding, but I advise you to have a car for the best and comfortable experience the owner is a great guy and very friendly absolutely recommended spot if you plan to stay in Chania region

The only thing I think that could be improved upon is maybe enclosed showers in all the rooms. We all used one bathroom as I didn't want the kids flooding the other ones!

Location was great near enough to shops and restaurants but far enough away from them to not hear the noise. Beach also close by.

Being picky, it would been better if there was a gate on the drive as my two year old was determined to run off and disappear into the surrounding olive groves which made relaxing a little difficult at times. Also, while a cleaner came daily, there was no hoover or other cleaning equipment available (that I could find) so cleaning up after the little one wasn't as easy as it could have been. The local beach isn't great and Platanias is quite expensive in terms of shopping and eating out in comparison with other areas, but you can jump on a bus and get about easily and we were there for the pool so that wasn't an issue. We'd definitely return in future.

Fantastic property with an amazing pool and beautiful gardens. The host we met (George) was very friendly and although he and his partner live on site but we hardy saw them and certainly weren't lacking privacy so don't let that put you off. Beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. The villa is set back from the beach with an amazing view and only one other property overlooks it so it's very secluded. At night the pool is lit up with changing coloured lights that made evening swimming a magical experience!

Everything was perfect, so nothing

It is an amazing property, with incredible sea view and beautiful garden with pool. The place is spacious, equipped really well with everything you may think of, including gas grill. I would like to mention also our great host George, who was ultimately helpful and kind all the time. Even allowed us to check-in really-really late night. Also to check-out later, because of our bad timing

The stay at Villa Varouxakis exceeded our expectations! everything was simply fantastic, great pool with a view, nice outdoor area to eat and hang out, spacious and comfortable villa (each room with a separate bathroom). Walking distance to the main street in Platanias with shops, bakery, bars and pubs and local beach. Great spot for the trips to Elafonissi beach (1'15" drive), Falasarna beach (45" drive) and Laguna Balos (1'05" drive). Chania is only 20mins away. The hosts George & Silvia went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. George takes a great care of the property, outdoor and swimming pool area. He is very helpful and approachable, yet discrete, always there when you need him. We had a fantastic stay there and highly recommend the place! We will gladly come back one day. Thank you George & Silvia!
