Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumThe chairs and seats are very beautiful (as is the rest of the apartment), but not really relaxing seats. Fortunately, there are so many things to do and visit in Athens that you we did not spend enough time in the apartment to be bothered by this :-)
The location was excellent. Very close to the Syntagma square, so almost everything you need to visit in Athens was within walking distance. An excellent department store for (fresh) food and beverages is around the corner. Dimitris -the host- is one of the nicest and most helpful persons we have ever met.

United KingdomIt was all great but no shower. I knew this at time of booking and it didn’t bother us as we took the chance to have relaxing baths but, for some, a shower may be preferable.
We were looking for a quiet location in a good location in a city (usually impossible!!) but this apartment was perfect. The apartment was also huge! We visited in October when the weather was about 27C but the apartment would be ideal in warmer months as it was cool. The host met us on arrival which was great, and the complimentary fruit on arrival was perfect.

United StatesNo real shower; handheld wand and tub. Hey, it’s vintage, not modern. Plenty of hot water, good AC.
Dimitris is a wonderful host and a fount of knowledge on many subjects. As a retired engineer he understands essentials and can help you with travel questions. He will engage with you at you preference and leave you to your privacy for the balance. Can’t beat the neighborhood; Kolonaki is full of upscale fashion shops, with supermarket, department store, coffee/ chocolate shop, and restaurants within 50-100 steps. Only about 2 stair steps at two points from street, important to those of us with mobility challenges. Access to his apartment by elevator. You can cook or wash clothes here. Twin beds comfortable. You can hunker down or go out— your choice.

SingaporeThe big bathroom is great with a bathtub and WC. The second toilet is only for WC. No showering to avoid flooding.
Very clean and spacious apartment and we loved the dining room! Lots of vintage furniture and magnificent paintings. Well equipped kitchen and good range of toiletries to use.

A good description of - Vintage apartment Kolonaki - is in the name itself. Half a century ago, perhaps you could expecte to catch a glimse of Nana Mouskouri, Aristotle Onassis and/or other promenet figures and celebrities from Greece going about their business in the neibourhood. Large rooms with high ceilings, a number of bathrooms, marble entry, heavy and solid doors and dark wood floors. This place was probably top of the line when built, to some degree, because of location. Still in the same catagory. In "my" room there is a button that can be pressed. Historically to call whoever was on duty in the apartment; the maid, butler, chauffeur... your guess is as good as mine. Personally I am very happy to have choosen Vintage apartments Kolonaki for three nights. I should have stayed a month. The combination of price, location, the apartment itself, and last but not least the friendly and accommodating owner/host Dimitri all come together to make my rating a 10.

United KingdomI loved the atmosphere present in the apartment. Check in was quick and easy. The owner of the property was very friendly and welcoming. The building was situated in an excellent location, within a walking distance to the city, fancy restaurants and all the interesting places. The bedroom was outstanding, very spacious and quiet. I had everything I needed to enjoy my stay. The kitchen was well equipped, the bathroom was very clean and tidy. Will definitely stay again. Σας ευχαριστώ

LuxembourgWe Liked everything. Oh maybe we were a bit worried that our 6 Yr old night damage the intricate, vintage art and show pieces. Thank fully that did not happen.
This is amongst the BEST location, its right in the City Center. Close enough to crowded Monastiraki, but not too close (1 KM 1 Metro station), which is perfect. Close to all amenities. Also the star of property apart from the location is also the Vintage-ness of the home. When we walked in I was surprised how well our HOST has maintained the multigenerational property. The HOST was very generous to wait for us and to explain us about the house even late in the night. We could not have had a better place to live especially at that location and that price.

PolandThat place is amazing! A huge apartment for your own, fully equipped (much better than some hotels!). Old style, luxurious furniture everywhere, we felt there like in the palace. Very clean and cozy, air-condition worked great during extremely hot days. The owner is very nice and cheerful, has perfect communication and took care of us all the time and treated us with a very nice surprise. The place is in a calm and quiet area, just a few minutes from Syntagma square. The best experience that we have ever had, worth much more than any hotel!
