Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceBeach was tiny with deckchairs and ombrellone (parasols) covering it entirely, sand a bit dirty. Noisy air conditioning.
Good hotel by the sea with great sunset views and large new swimming pool. Rooms a bit old in design. Good breakfast. Plenty of space to park car nearby.

The location is splendid, the hotel is situated in a beautiful bay, with direct access to the beach. Waking up with a view like this was wonderful. The breakfast was very nice.

The location is ideal for a relaxing getaway. Right next to the beach , with a beautiful view.

United KingdomThe beach frontage was just ok. The space was somewhat cramped and due to it being open to the public, as all beaches in Greece are, it lacked any exclusivity. The sun beds and umbrellas on the beach were just ok but those around the pool were great. The hotel has undergone a major extension recently and there are still some tweaks which need to be attended to. Bedside reading lamps and bathroom hooks, just detail really.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was fabulous. The bedroom was lovely, excellent linens and towels. Plenty of parking. The restaurant provided an excellent breakfast and dinner. Olympia is less than a thirty minute drive.

BelgiumThe bar in the evening could have been more cosy. During the day (when there is a cruise arriving) a lot of people will come to the hotel to enjoy the beach which can make it very crowded. And unfortunately, we basically didn't have any Wi-Fi at all.
The hotel has one of the most beautiful views over the ocean, having breakfast on the terras with this view makes it even better than it already is. Just a 5-minute drive is Katakolo a nice small, quiet (when the cruise ship of the day has gone) harbor with lots of fantastic restaurants and bars. Visiting Olympia is perfectly doable from here (30min drive) and absolutely worth it. The room was clean and had everything we expected and needed. The staff is very friendly and helpful at all times!

CyprusEverything was very good. The only negative is the music from the beach bar which is next to the hotel and we could hear it from our room. And a minor recommendation is for the common areas, they could have been cleaner although it is a beach hotel and we understand how difficult it is.
The staff was very friendly, always eager to help you. The location is amazing and the beach. Clean towels every day and complimentary bottles of water every day. The room modern and cozy. If they had slippers it would be good.

CanadaI liked everything about it. Just be aware of some of the loose ends after the renos (for safety reasons).
The best part of this hotel is the view, the location and pool. The photos don’t do the hotel justice, the view and facilities are 100 times better than the photos. You will be wowed. Just, have a little grace as they are finishing up their renovations and additions. You don’t have to leave the hotel. They have a restaurant, pool, beach, bar, cafe, music etc. You want to book here, to stay here. The town is just a short 4 mins drive.

CanadaThe beach was very dirty with lots of cigarette butts all over. Would need some upkeep on the beach. I would also have liked to have beach towels. Loud music from the neighbours as well, not what I need if I want a good night sleep.
The new part of the hotel is fabulous. It still needs a little bit of finishing touches but I would stay here again in a heartbeat

United StatesKatakolon was a port on our Viking Cruise. We booked a room here at PHEIA instead of going on an expensive cruise excursion. It was so worth it. The hotel is so stylish and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Great pool. Nice bar. Steps to the beach and the sea. There are beach bars to the left and right as well. It was like being at a beach resort for the day. Everything was very reasonable. It's just a short cab ride from the cruise port. Everyone on the cruise was jealous of our plan.
