Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI could not adjust the temperature in my room and I was too hot. The air con was controlled centrally. The outdoor pool was very cold. The hotel was not set up for the hot weather we had, no umbrellas no snack bar, ice cream etc
The hotel was clean and in a fantastic location just off the beach. The swimming pool outdoor was beautiful and the spa was great too. All staff were helpful, Katherine in particular was lovely. The skybridge restaurant was great with delicious food.

NetherlandsWe can't review the spa or dinner because we haven't used it. Every thing we experienced was good.
Very clean and tidy. Comfortable beds. Very friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was nice. The facilities we used were excellent. A very decent equipped gym. Location is great not in the busiest area but close enough to walk some bars and restaurants to enjoy some Greek cuisine.

United KingdomIt feels a bit “dressed up” fancy decorations but doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel. It’s pretending to be something it’s not. Some problems with check in that felt like I was being deceived about the cost of the stay. Eventually resolved but not a great start.
Clean and well maintained. Quiet (March). Good value for money.

UkraineSauna not included, pool only, no jacuzzi. The hotel was empty, but they charged 10 euros for parking. We had a room with a partial sea view, but sitting on the balcony was uncomfortable because the restaurant was immediately to the left of our room, everyone could see you. Breakfast is bad, small and not tasty, all the juice is like water.
Location, sea, nature around. Working large indoor pool. Good view from the restaurant.

SerbiaThe spa area is good, but there is an extra charge, even for the hotel guests. The fee per person is 25 eur. It should be included in price. There is no option in the picked bedroom for queen/king size bed. Instead you get a two single beds.
The new renovated hotel in front of the seaside. The style of the hotel is not our cup of tea (a mixture of french renesanse and greek) but is comfortable and clean. The room is specious. The staff clean the room daily. Very good breakfast. Free use of indoor pool with a warm area. The staff is polite and friendly. We traveled to Thessaloniki beggining of february, and because of the agricultural fair there was no good place to stay in center, so we decided to stay here. It is 20 minutes drive to Kalamaria and approx 30 minutes drive to Thessaloniki. Really great value for money off season.

GreeceThere were some aspects of service which could not be considered as the service of a 5-star hotel, definitely not. Eg there was no heating in the rooms, water in the restaurant was served in small plastic bottles, the waitress could not understand Greek well.
It had some unique characteristics, eg the restaurant on the bridge.

North MacedoniaThere were a few things that bothered us. There were ants on the floor in our room, which makes a 5-star hotel look really bad. Another thing is that we had the hotel booked two months in advance, and at that time, it was branded as an Adults-Only hotel on Booking. A few weeks before our trip, I received an email that the property had changed its name to ''Wellness Santa Hotel''. Little did I know that that meant there would be kids running around both in the restaurant and hallways. Be warned that the walls are apparently very thin because you could hear almost everything from outside the room or the room next door. If you want to use the SPA, you should know there are extra charges for the saunas, the jacuzzi, etc. The only thing that comes with the booking is the indoor pool, which was a bit cold.
The overall stay at the hotel was okay. I recommend eating at the Sky Bridge Bar; the food was really delicious. Plus the interior was amazing.

North MacedoniaThe way food at the pool bar is served. Cardboard cartons and wooden knives and forks. The food content was ok but the choice was not enough. The beds on the beach were varied prices but we were not informed that food and drink was included in the price until it was time we paid. We were disappointed to find that out at the end. We paid 70 euros for the 100 euro bed as we were not correctly informed. We could have got all the drink and food we wanted if we had known. The beach bar organization needs some more training on organizational skills. We ordered more drinks but they never arrived.
Hotel building is fresh and the outside pool area is excellent. The closeness of the beach facilities is very good and the staff are excellent. Cocktails were very nice at poolside bar. Although it was said to be at full occupancy, it did not feel that way, there was plenty of room and beds available for us to use. Only 10mins from airport and no noise from airplanes.
