How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The owner, Harris, is one of the friendliest and approachable guys! Him and the staff make all the difference in the world and they all went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. We had a great stay and we would definitely recommend!

I felt like at home, the staff are amazing people. Diversified and very good food, menu in Romanian, part of the staff speak Romanian. The towels were changed daily, the room was cleaned daily. Our children also felt very well. Close to the beach. Thank you Harris and the team for everything.

No negatives, loved it and would go back again.
Everyone was really welcoming, the food in the restaurant was delicious, the moment you walked in it smelled clean. We have a small kid and everyone was so nice to him and made him smile.

All it’s god!
A very nice hotel by the sea owned by a wonderful family. The owner Harris is a wonderful host and does everything to make you feel welcome. The food is excellent, the prices are good and the staff is friendly and always smiling. The rooms are excellent and very clean. Recommended hotel.

The rooms were quite extensive. And the balcony was spacious, the air-con was working, and the window shutters provided enough heat protection to the room.

The hosts were simply amazing, both Harris and his help were always there to help, and they gave us an amazing room. Everything was very very clean, and I have to say that the bed was very comfortable. I always have a problem with beds and pillows, but here, all very good! We also had a nice dinner at their restaurant that i recommend!

We liked everything 😀
The location was superb: on the beach, great room, cleaned daily, AC. The restaurant is the best in resort: fresh seafood & fish, salads etc. Harris and his family has made our staying a fabulous experience. We definitely recommend White Rose for vacation at Olympic Beach 🏖.

First of all, the biggest issue for me is if someone offers my kid food without asking me in advance. He has diabetes type 1 and I should always know what and how much he eats to keep the diabetes under control. Anna (I guess it’s Harris’ mom) gave him and my niece ice cream directly, without asking us. Before that she fed my niece from her plate again without asking. I am sure she had all of the best intentions but still, it’s not acceptable for me. There are so many intolerance towards foods nowadays (e.g. gluten, lactose, etc.) that it’s dangerous to offer food to kids without asking the parents first. I told Anna, she seems to understood as she never did it again. My second concern was towards the cleaning. With all the sand around, it requires a little bit more efforts to keep rooms clean. Last, the restaurant doesn’t meet our expectations. Only the first day I found the food tasty and the kid ate as well. We had lunch 3-4 more times there, but we were not satisfied and there was always an issue with our order.
The location was perfect for us. The room was spacious. We arrived in the morning and they allowed us to check in once the room was cleaned. There were space where we can store our beach toys, inflatables etc. Harris is very involved and if you ask for something, he will do his best to suit your need.
