We weren’t fans of the general area but I’m sure a lot of people would really enjoy the ruggedness of the area.

Charming apartment with beautiful furnishings. They had a welcome bottle of water in the refrigerator and even fresh fruit and a homemade dessert for us upon arrival. Beautiful garden and grounds and convenient parking spot but we had to cut our trip short due to not liking the general area.

Nothing to complain about.

We spent two weeks at Zacharoula rooms and it was all delightful. Stella and her family gave us a very warm welcome. Our room had a balcony with a wonderful view of the coast below, there was a garden to enjoy and communal spaces. The kitchen was very well equipped too. Someone (Stella I imagine)hard thought about the details - a special bar of soap, homemade jam, decent coffee. It was all low key but very well run.

Stella and Stefanos are the best hosts ever. They are very friendly and very thoughtful. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. Our suite was very well-equipped; it had everything guests might possibly need during their stay. And everything was sparkling clean. We had a great stay!

Stella and her husband are exceptional hosts. The views from our bedroom were amazing and we felt really at pace and at home! This is a very special place to stay at, we can definitely recommend it.

The WiFi was set to WPA instead of WPA2 or WPA3 so it wasn’t secure and I couldn’t connect. Stella offered to have maintenance come out and fix it but we didn’t have time to wait. We didn’t have very good cell service either.

The view was wonderful and the room was very clean. Stella and Victoria were awesome host and went above anything we expected to make our stay perfect. We arrived late and Victoria took us to a great restaurant down the road that was open which we would have never found. Our room didn’t have an oven or washer so Stella opened the apartment next to ours for us to use.

I had read the other reviews, singing praises. I thought surely they are exaggerated nothing can be that good... Believe me Zacharoula rooms is THE BEST place I have ever stayed at .. it is up in the steep mountain, and it really is steep , be prepared for. Very strenuous uphill walks through breathtaking scenery. It's spotless .. the rooms are beautiful, you feel AT HOME but not like in someone's home .. Stella is the most helpful , caring host I've ever met

All went well, no reason to complain

We stayed at Zachroula Rooms in Manganitis, Ikaria for two weeks. The room was cleaned spotless every 3 times per week. Stella, who runs the facilities with her husband, was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. We received home-baked cake, fresh fruit from their garden, and even a home-cooked meal. We could use a washing machine as much as we needed to. The atmosphere was laid back and added to our relaxation. Stella was always open for a friendly chat and would point us to interesting locations nearby.

We liked everything!!!We had a very warming welcome from the owners, which were very polite, friendly, ready to help us if we had a need and always offering their goods. The apartment was exactly as in the pictures and the view is even better in close! It was very clean and had all the necessary (even more) amenities!

Owner should put a sign up in English at the turn off to the property as we could not find it. Long steep ascent to the property. Only 30k from the Port of Agios Kirykos but mountain roads, hairpin bends and very steep ascent before dropping to the coast. Took 1.25 hours to get there. Take food with you, not much in the one local shop. Good shops and facilities at port of Evdilos about 35 mins drive on mountain road.

Owner came to meet us when we could not find the property. Very well equipped outside kitchen with an oven. Pure mountain drinking water from a tap outside. Stunning views. Very quiet place.

Stella’s place is so neat and clean, entering there immediately felt like coming home. She had welcome gifts, offered food. There is an outdoor kitchen you can use and the room had a beautiful view. Thank you for this very welcome reception!

Everything is planned out with great attention to details. The view is incredible and all amenities function perfectly and are designed with love. We will definitely come back! Our hosts were so welcoming and we will miss their hospitality :)
