Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere are a few items in the room which need to be checked
Very pleasant sitting on the balcony having breakfast. Hotel in a quiet location but near to supermarkets, market, bus stop to South. Zefyros is a family run hotel so it's easy to get to know everyone working there and they are helpful with advice on things to see. They are also approachable and easy to chat with.

SloveniaThough the room was clean in in spite of NO SMOKING sign, you could still smell the cigarettes. The tiny bathroom should definitely have a shower curtain, since it was impossible to shower without wetting the entire space. Probably also because of the blocked water holes on the shower pipe due to scale. On the 2nd morning of my staying, I was awakened by a loud argument in Greek in the ground floor, most probably the owner, and I was on the 2nd floor. Apart from that, it's a quiet area.
The place is very spartan and modest, nothing fancy. I recommend it if you only need a place to crash for the night or just passing through. If it's luxury you seek, go elsewhere since the place needs a bit of maintenance and renovation. What you pay is what you get. It's clean, the bed is almost too comfy. There were extra blankets for it was still chilly at night. The water was warm after you let it run for 30 seconds.

IrelandNo hair dryer despite advertised however it didn’t matter in the end as didn’t need one. Some drawers had dust or dirt in them. Smell of smoke in both rooms. There was a no smoking sign in both rooms so unfortunately I think people are ignoring this which is not the hotels fault. More just the ignorance of people who stay there.
Wonderful staff greeted us at the door. Seems like a family run business which was nice. Warm water and great water pressure. Very clean. Location was great. Nearby coffee shop and public transport. Air conditioning was very good. Bed very comfortable.

United KingdomWhile it didn't worry me as I like walking the walk into town should be considered. It did take a couple of days to work out the shortest route into Rhodes town, this meant passing through the labyrinth of the old medieval town - once worked out the walk took 40 minutes each way. The area of the hotel may be on a bus route but i couldn't get any info on this and anyway saw no nearby buses in 10 days. When I first arrived I took a taxi from Rhodes town to the hotel and it cost 6 Euros
The hotel looked recently renovated, it was well kept and very clean, I was not bothered by anyone about anything, although it must be said that the proprietress spoke little English so that is unsurprising. The hotel is a little way inland, in a quiet residential street but has a nearby supermarket, taverna and patisserie.

United KingdomBreakfast is not served but there is an excellent bakery nearby with good food and drinks. Also close are two good restaurants and two supermarkets. The hotel is 6 mins walk from a nice beach and about 15-20 from the old town. There is also a bus to the old town which leaves every 20 mins past the hour from the bus stop 5 mins from the hotel. Turn left when leaving the hotel to find it. The bus is 2.5 Euros and takes about 5 mins to get to the port, right next to the old town.
