Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesTowels scratchy, but that's because of increased sanitizing of everything. I bet they used to line dry them.
This place and town are so cool. Overlooking the gorgeous bay. Great little breakfast I took to my room to eat on my balcony. Pool looked great. Older facility but they take care of it and the is staff great. Would be an awesome place for a long weekend (or more) with Friends.

ItalyWe found one towel smelling like smoke, not the best when you want to dry your just cleaned hair . While showering, without precautions, you could be able to wash the entire bathroom.
The hotel position is perfect in the small town, the owner really friendly and welcoming. The room cozy with a splendid view to the sea. The breakfast was of good amount and acceptable quality.

MaltaThe hotel needs modernising namely: replace old fridges with more silent ones, replace shower curtain with an actual glass door as it got very messy after each shower, AC was OK however, the compressor was quite noisy and therefore did not allow us to sit quietly in the balcony, more pillows on the bed would have made it a bit more comfortable.
A quiet location, peaceful pool/breakfast area, accommodating staff, satisfying breakfast!

United KingdomNothing!
Firstly Nina was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble, we had such a warm welcome. The hotel has all the charm of an old Greek family home.Everything is spotlessly clean and simple. The sea view was amazing. Hotel is very central for all 4 beaches and the best restaurants (Pasarapoula, Paradiso - too many to mention!) The pool area is small, clean and quiet. Absolutely perfect hotel for someone wanting authentic Greece in a fairly busy resort with genuine Cretan hospitality.

United KingdomEverything was fine, considering the very reasonable price.
A very nice, family-run hotel in a perfect location, up on the hills but right in the middle of Bali village and close to everything, including a number of beaches. A little bit weathered, but that's okay and mostly just adds to the charm since the place is so clean and well-maintained. Amazing 180-degree unobstructed sea views from the seaside rooms!

United Kingdomamazing staff, so nice and welcoming, they look after your every need. they treat you like family. my boyfriend and i are 19 years old travelling together for the first time and they made us more than welcome. the view of the sea is spectacular and food is tasty, fresh squeezed orange juice and breakfast was scrumptious. the location is perfect right in the centre of everything you could need or want, shops, restaurants, bars, 2 seconds away from the beach. it’s very clean and is an escape from modernised minimalism that is cold and replaces it with true greek beauty with flowers and colour. i would come here again in a heart beat, better service and welcomed better than any other hotel i’ve been in. it’s beautifully picturesque, 2 stars is not enough.

NetherlandsThe room and the bed is small and has a 70’s interior.
We enjoyed the courtesy by hosts, clean rooms, good enough bed and with comfortable airconditioning as during our stay temperature averaged 36’C during daytime. The hotel has a very roomy hallway, staircase and common spaces. Great swimming pool and attractive landscaping and location. It was like the photographs on the site and better. Finally breakfast was grand served with love and everyday with some new authentic homemade baking.

ItalyThe bathroom was too small, the closet was half way built, we wanted a double bed but instead we get 2 single beds sticked with one huge hole in the middle. The furniture could be better. The street to arrive to the hotel is not in the best condition and everybody can pass through the hotel even if they are not staying there. You definitely need a car to arrive there, the public transportation don't pass near to the hotel, you should walk a lot to get it. The best beaches are in the bottom of the island, the beaches on the top are not very nice.
Lovely people hosting the hotel, the position next to the beach is amazing, the landscape in front of the hotel was amazing, surrounded by unique vegetation and flowers, the breakfast very nice and the family that host the hotel are very warm and nice people.
