Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaIt was a little bit strange for the reception to be on the 6th floor which could be a bit confusing at first. Also there could be some waiting on the check in, as they tend to have just one person on the desk.
It’s located just in Cayala which is convenient for the amount of restaurants in the area. Not much noise is the place where it’s situated, so I was able to sleep well.

United StatesThe layout of the room is very different than what I’m used to in the states. In the states you have all the restrooms in one room, but in this case the private area of the restroom was enclosed only by a glass sliding door and the sink was outside with in the bedroom. I’m saying it is different not that is wrong.is just something I didn’t like about it.
Friendly staff always willing to go out of their way to help and serve as needed.

The hotel is beautiful and the location was perfect. Ciudad Cayala is safe with lots of good restaurants and shopping. The staff are all friendly and the views from the upper level are breathtaking.

I was in Guatemala City for a week long conference. The AC Marriott proved a comfortable home base, situated in the Cayalá neighborhood (with good options for dining out).

GuatemalaNo amenities in the hotel, no pool, sauna, jacuzzi. Regular room's view is underwhelming. Rooms and halls are very basic, square and pale. Weird arrangement for the bathroom; has a slide door for shower and toilet, and the sink is outside, near the bed. Parking was somewhat confusing on entering and exiting, but staff was helpful. TV only had Netflix, YouTube and Pandora, and was clunky to access, since you had to enter your username/password using the TV remote, and manually exit after leaving.
The location is great, right in the middle of Cayala, with restaurants, bars, shops, entertainment and walking right exiting the door. The breakfast was pretty good, a regular buffet breakfast with some local food as well. The view from the terrace is awesome. Rooms are comfy for sleeping and resting.

Guatemalathe staff was so rude and not very welcoming, they didn’t explain how the parking works and we had to pay it because they don’t take responsibility if one of their employees did not give the correct information. they didn’t indicate Where the room was and they made the check-in so difficult for my uncle

GuatemalaYou can get better more luxurious rooms for the same price. The windows and glass panes in the room were dirty.
Location is one of it's key attributes. I would recommend this hotel for those looking to enjoy of Cayalá and the places nearby. The Hotel is great if you're planning to spend most of the day out in the city.

United StatesThe reception desk is on the sixth floor! Not on the first floor where most hotels have it. The traffic to get to this hotel is terrible. One night there was an event going on at the shopping center and it took over an hour from the entrance to the shopping center to get to the hotel.
Located in one of the nicest and safest areas of Guatemala. Located in a huge shopping center. Close to restaurants, shops and movie theater.
