How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The fitness area didn't have any towels. I had to bring a towel from my room.
The room I had was quiet and secluded. The breakfast was adequate. I found the staff very friendly and helpful.

Location is incredible and you feel very safe, nice property with beautiful hardwood throughout, staff very friendly and theygo above and beyond to make sure you have what you need all for a very reasonable price.

The choice of breakfast is limited.
Perfect location and nice staff. I remember my last night on 2 March that a staff whose name might be Brian came to my room and asked if I need cleaning service because I put DON'T DISTURBE card on the lock of the door in the morning. This really exceeded my expectations because if the guest put DON'T DISTURBE card on the lock of the door in many hotels, nobody will come to ask if the client still needs cleaning service later in the day, I appreciate it

The girl in the reception was a little bit stressed. The staff need to improve the way treat people. The breakfast should be better.
The location is perfect, near to restaurants and parks .

I had to wait over 20 minutes to check in because two large tour groups were also there, with only one reception person working--it was ridiculous.
Perfect location in Zone 10, with good restaurants and a massive mall in walking distance.

【Decoration】The hotel is vintage style, I love the atmosphere. And the double room is quite spacious for 2. 【Cuisines】The breakfasr offered are local traditional breakfast, I also ordered Risotto for dinner, which are all fantastic! Next time If I go to Guatemala again, I may choose Stofella again.

It is my third stay in the hotel and all the times I received the very same dark room with most of the time the cleaning equipment is in front my door.

Provide a hotel-enabled filtration water system for the guest. Update the furniture in the rooms and add more amenities such as refrigerators and microwaves. Provide a bit more comfort with the beds.
The hotel was a short ride from the airport. Upon arrival, the staff was very pleasant and helpful. I was able to check in early. The impression of the room was average size, dated, but pleasant. The shower was separate but clean and nice, with a large mirror. The room came with a TV and a nice desk and chair to work. The water warning should be adhered to. Bring bottled water for brushing your teeth. Breakfast in the morning is recommended. It was good with different cooked eggs, bread, cereal and fresh fruit. The hotel was within walking distance of the malls and shopping areas. Across the street is an Applebee's, with a St Martins, McDonalds, and Pizza Hut about 2-5 mins walk. The area was very safe without any issues, even at night. I would recommend this hotel and its location.

I think this hotel is often used for conferences or traveling groups and there was always quite a bit of noise from this. I think every night I had a different teenage sporting team staying in my hall. When I returned to the city later I found much better value hotels that were much quieter. Also, the gym was very worn down and most machines didn't work properly.

Most of the machines in the gym are damaged or unusable. There are two treadmills - one has snapped in the middle, the second is about to snap. The gym is technically inside, but it's an open air area, so it's very hot at all times. The multi-gym machine has many snapped cables, so only the leg press works pretty much, it's very stiff too - not worth using. The cross-trainer doesn't turn on. For the price of this hotel, the gym needs to be upgraded and maintained.
Beds were comfortable, breakfast was good, wifi was fast, good location in a safe area. McDonalds and Applebees next door if you need fast food. Some proper restaurants a minute or so walk away. Taxi/Uber ready to use within 1 minute. Staff friendly.
