This place is beautiful and magical ♡ ! Furthermore, the staff was very kind, polite, and helpful. They even have boats to transfer you to the island of Flores in just 2 minutes! ♡ Muchísimas gracias para todo 🙏🏼

Limited food options

This is an amazing place a short trip away from Flores island. The owner will pick you up and drop you off with this boat. It was great to sleep right by the lake and have some peace and quiet. You can go explore san miguel, visit playa chechenal and el mirador

The location was awesome, just a boat ride away from Flores and the hotel provides a boat service for free (4times a day). Very nice breakfast options. In general, a great experience.

This is a low-key and laid-back spot a 5 minute boat ride from Flores. As stated, you send them a WhatsApp message and they'll zip across the lake and pick you up. The rooms are simple, no-frills and clean. You can sit and look across the lake at Flores, you can swim, you can go walk up the trail behind the hotel to the mirador and maybe see some monkeys. It's quiet and slow paced. Slowed me right down. The restaurant does the trick. I'd stay here again for sure.

Little green paradise. You don't even have to go back to the island, because they have everything. But if you want, they offer you two gratis rides there and back with their lancha. Try their ceviche with mango.

We liked our stay at Mayan spirit ! The place is located very peacefully in the middle of the jungle, but only a 5 min boat ride away from flores. We even saw (and heard) howler monkeys in the trees directly next to our cabin ! The boat was always available when we needed it. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and the shower was hot. Internet was surprisingly fast! It would have been nice to have some extra furniture in the room, like a small table and chairs, but overall everything was fine!

We were not given the boat rates outside of free hours, it was quite expensive. I wish tgis was communicated ahead. 100Q at 10pm. The room was very hot during the day due to the sun shining on the large windows.

Beautiful location away from the chaos if the party. The 4 included boat drives make it very easy to go and come back.

Mayan Spirit is in a stunning location. You can swim in the lake right in front of your cabin and it’s a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise. The staff are very friendly and quick to assist you. Kev the boat driver is incredibly quick to respond and very helpful! He’ll get you to and from the island within 2 minutes.

The rooms were tiny, but that wasn’t an issue for us. Nothing else, we really enjoyed our stay there.

The location was nice being a little bit away from the city, but still accessible. I thought this place was very affordable clean and the staff especially Kevin was so helpful and kind.

No hooks in the bedroom or bathroom. No reading lights. Apply insect repellent in the evening to avoid sand fly bites!

Great location. Huge freshly decorated room. Very helpful staff; good food in a restaurant. A beautiful lakeside place to relax with tropical birds and distant howler monkeys.

Memorable property....quiet, no cars, leafy, beautiful view. Staff was right there every time when you want to go back and forth and the rides are part of the charm.

It is a very nice Spot with beautiful nature around. You can See wonderful sunsets. The free transport per boat to flores Works really good and is nice. The owners are very helpflu for all questions. The Omelette was great.

The Mayan Spirit took care of every aspect of our trip. They booked all our tours and our airport shuttle, they took care of our laundry, made delicous breakfast, and were so accommodating when we wanted to upgrade to the boat room. (Sidenote: book the boat room! It's the coolest thing!) Highly, highly, recommended!!

The location is amazing, but the room didn't look anything like the one we reserved on booking.com. The furniture had been taken out and it only contained a bed and a fan. I complained and a table and chair were found, but it had none of the charm of the photos on booking.com with colourful bedspreads etc. The wifi was sporadic at best. The extra charge to pay by credit card changed by the day culminating in 10%, where other smaller venues in Flores didn't charge anything!!

The location is amazing, but you're paying for this rather than any hotel facilities. Kevin was great at taking us to and from Flores, which was really useful. Food was good if a little pricey by Guat standards.

The sound from Flores does travel across the water. Weekends can be quite noisy. Getting a boat back after 10pm can be a bit pricey if you want to stay out.

Enjoyed being outside of Flores. They offer 2x free return trips every day up to 10pm for when you want to visit Flores and you can just WhatsApp to order the boat. Super chilled in the jungle, with lots of nature stuff to do. Staff were amazing and food was good! Room clean and bed comfy. You can cruelly swim in the water here.

They don’t have a garrafón available to fill your water bottle although they did offer to fill ours.

Great location with a nice deck under the mango trees. There’s a mirador and walking trails outback where we saw a family of monkeys. The Lancha is free from 7am-9pm. If you’re staying in Flores for more than a day it’s better to stay next to the jungle. Unless you want to sunrise tour Tikal or want to party on the island.

We enjoyed everything! If I had to be picky, It was stressful finding the correct boat ramp where to be picked up. But they were very responsive on WhatsApp and responded promptly and it was easy for the pick up and drop offs after knowing where to meet them.

It’s right across the lake, so a short boat trip to Flores proper but away from all the noise and party life. Perfect for us! The views were amazing and grounds were beautiful. We were there for a short visit, so unable to explore the mirador and the adjacent private beach

Be aware the outside area is the highlight and the rooms are simple and offer few features except A/C. If you are looking for something luxurious where you wanna spend a lot of time in your room, you should consider another place (and need to invest a few dolares more!). Breakfast serving took a while.

Great view, nice garden for hanging out with plenty of space (e.g. for yoga on the pier). For us actually an advantage to be on the other side of the lake due to the view and the tranquility. Mayan spirit offers 4 free boat transfers per day from/to the pier near Raices Restaurant at the SW corner of Flores. Trips take approx 3 mins and are arranged via Whatsapp (ready to go within 5 minutes or so). We felt the value was excellent and liked the mango smoothies prepared from the fruits growing in the garden.
