Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomBit noisy at 6.30 due staff getting things ready for breakfast. On a busy junction so traffic noise can be a nuisance at times but not hotels fault.
Excellent value for what you get. Room very large, even got two comfortable sitting chairs. Good hot water in shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Speak fairly good English. Hotel close to lakeside. Room cleaned everyday with fresh towels and bottled water. Good hot water in shower. Shops and restaurants outside hotel.

MalaysiaSometimes a little noisy at night being so close to the bars/restaurants. The shower was not the best, and the drain drained very very slowly.
Location in Panajachel was excellent. Right on the main street and to the lakeside which means you are close to the action. The staff were helpful and made everything with our stay go smoothly.

United KingdomI had to change rooms because of cockroaches. The first room was really grim. I also had cockroaches in the second room and had to ask them to fumigate it. It was pretty noisy but luckily I have ear plugs so I managed to sleep. But my fellow Travellers had a lot of difficulty with dogs barking at all hours.

Canadanoise, we got room on the second floor. we asked if this room is quite, but it was not. you can hear TV from the bar in the lobby, all conversations. in addition to that, around 5am they started a repair work in the lobby.
Location is very good. very close to everything in Panajachel.
