Room selection from internet is unclear to me. Preferred a room close to the pool and didn't know how to request it.

The attitude of a guy at the front desk, but focusing on that would be unfair to the rest of the guys and girls at the front desk who did and amazing job.

Great hotel, with amazing costumer service, everything about my stay in Antigua Guatemala was perfect thanks to people like Juan Carlos and Don Sergio. I was given a room in the annex - though it was comfortable, my last day in the morning I was surprised to see there was an event that began at 8am with very loud music with no regard for the guests who were staying there.

Beautiful hotel, excellent staff (helpful and nice). The room was comfortable, food delicious and restaurant staff at breakfast are particularly kind.

I requested a single be room 4 months before my stay and at check in they told me that there were none available. The room was spacious but with no views and beside the main road which was kind of difficult to get some sleep due to car, bikes and tuk tuks.

Location was unbeatable. The porperty is huge. Excellent dinner and breakfast options.

Very pricey (in comparison to other really nice hotels Ive been to all over the world). Wouldn't stay here again for this reason only.

Beds were incredible. Slept amazing here. Bathroom squeaky clean and large. Pool large and usually not too busy (service at the pool as well) with gorgeous views on clear days of volcano(s).

The night of the Saturday, we could not sleep because of noisy neighbors. Although, it is not the hotel's fault but this is something we didn't like .

The amenities were great and so was the facility itself. We really enjoyed our stayed and slept comfortably.

I suggest offering larger water filters in the room. Also, in our room late at night I could still hear some of the music from a party that was being hosted in a more distant part of the hotel premises.

The hotel overall is fantastic. Delicious breakfast/restaurant overall, and the location is fantastic. The garden and pool area make for a very beautiful setting over meals. The service of the staff in general was also excellent.

Location is l my a few blocks from Antigua main plaza. Parking offered during the whole stay, a lot of staff ready to help. Restaurant is good and breakfast buffet is generous and varied. 2 very nice pools with the main one offering a nice view to the Volcano

This is a very lovely hotel. Our rooms (we had 2 as a family of 4) were so comfortable, very clean and nicely decorated. There is filtered water in the rooms so great not to be buying plastic bottles of water and saving on all the plastic waste. The rooms were off a pretty courtyard with a seating area which was a lovely place to sit. The pool area is really nice, though we were so busy exploring Antigua we didn’t spend very much time there. The dining/reception/bar area is lovely - lots of fantastic artworks and decorative items. We enjoyed the New Year’s Eve dinner and festivities at the hotel. There was a huge variety of food and the whole event was well planned and decorated. Also there was a very thoughtful little bag of treats on our beds that night. The service of all the staff was very professional and friendly. We had a bit of communication with the hotel staff prior to our visit and we were very impressed by the friendly interactions we had. The hotel arranged a transfer for us back to Guatemala City and the driver was excellent and the van very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Porta Hotel Antigua and highly recommend it.

Nothing. Although it was not an issue for us, some travelers may not like that the hotel has multiple buildings, some across the street and some down the street. If that is a concern, inquire as to where your room is located or check the hotel website for room descriptions.

The beds were exceedingly comfortable, the property is very beautiful and the staff were wonderful. The landscaping and design are natural to the surroundings and peaceful.
