Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandIt is sad to miss some of the more familiar faces, but service does not suffer at all. Will definitely continue coming back. Value for money might seem low, but actually is pretty good for Hong Kong standards. The pool is not (yet?) open as late as it used to be.
Cordis, while some of the club staff has rotated since, say, 4-5 years ago, is now back at its excellent pre-pandemic service levels. This means full breakfasts on the 36th-floor club level with great views of Hong Kong, it means an amazing full-fledged-options breakfast at the lobby level, it means complimentary wine, cocktails, as well as champagne, and it means an excellent service spa, pool, and gym. Rooms are clean, quiet, large (certainly for HK standards), and generally have amazing views. Minibars are fully stocked and reasonably-priced. Great cleaning and room-service staff, just like all other staff working at the hotel, reception and lobby level. Location: right in the heart of Mong Kok, and connected by bridge to the Langham mall. This means that for most things, you'll never have to step outside-- from shopping to swimming, from groceries to cinemas. Stepping outside though is totally recommended in order to experience the hustle and bustle of classic Hong Kong. Food-- plenty of options nearby from Cha Chaan Tengs up to Michelin-starred restaurants right within the hotel itself. Ming Court absolutely recommended and gets a discount for hotel guests. The hotel Garage Bar outside is also well recommended when weather is nice, and, combined with Langham mall any and all other dining options are at your feet: from smokey barbecue grill to Japanese, from food court price ranges to splurge. Even the room service is great here! Getting around-- excellent staff to help you get taxis and to give you advice on what to visit when. Uber is also servicing the hotel very nicely. Most destinations easily reachable, and due to proximity to the west tunnel and depending on your destination, can avoid most traffic even during rush hours.

SingaporeNot being biased but I really have nothing negative to talk about.
Location - very convenient. Just across the small road from Mongkok Train Station. If visitors exit train station using D3 exit, they will go through the underground access which will lead to the department/food stores. Taking the escalators up to the ground floor, just need to cross the small lane to get across to the hotel. There's a mall beside the hotel. Beside the hotel around the corner, there's also the Mongkok food hawker centre at second floor for breakfast. Room - we arrived at 11.30am and was able to check in as there were rooms available which was really good for us! Management - I really want to thank Cordis for agreeing to postpone my April booking as my initial booking was under no cancellation. I was not able to travel in April as there was a family member demise right before the travel date and Cordis was so understanding in not cancelling the booking and allowed the postponement at the same rate. I was truly appreciative of that gesture. Coupled with our experience stay in May, it is indeed a nice hotel to stay in and I look forward to come back again. Thank you for the welcoming experience.

United KingdomSometimes you can hear next door speaking out loud. Luckily, this did not happen during sleeping time at night. Need to remember to put down curtain in day time when going out (only half the way as the room is facing either East or West). Otherwise, it could become a green house as the sun has no problem shining into the room.
Thanks to booking.com discount, I got a suite this time. Spacious, nice view as high up in the hotel. It has a kitchen with fridge and basic utilities provided. Actually, I cooked a few times. There is a microwave and coffee machine too. Nice air con, you can have a lot of control. Nice bathroom. Very good Wifi connection. Good breakfast buffet. Nice central location in city. good transport link

SingaporeI cannot think of anyting that could be better!
Wide variety of quality breakfast foods, both Asian, local (HK) and western. A smaller cosier Club Lounge at L36 and a larger restaurant room next to lobby at L6, whith additional choices. Overall a very good breakfast. The breakout lounges with tables sofas and AMAZING city views at L36 are quiet and very welcoming --- no need to hide in your room alone to read a book or chat with a friend while looking at the city skyline.... highly recommended! Check also the snacks served fresh in the buffet and the free drinks bar.... [ Note : the fancy Lounge services might be reserved to Executive rooms / Members ].

Czech RepublicUnfortunatelly the hotel needs to change the furtinure and carpets after so many years … this was my first stay I thought I got some very old room with very used furniture and carpet. Ten years ago it was a great place to stay … now after so long time it really needs a reconstruction of the rooms without any doubt.
I’m selecting this hotel for many years … great location in Mong Kok and absolutely great and kind staff there - I love your kindness all the time - you’re the best in HK! Excellent pool at the roof with very kind staff.

United KingdomWe couldn’t find fault with it, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although it seems expensive, Hong Kong in general is a very expensive place to stay so we felt the extra money was worth it.
During our 3 month SE Asia trip we did a 2 night stopover in Hong Kong and chose to book a room at The Cordis including Executive Club privileges. It was a good choice, firstly it was easy and efficient to access from the airport. We took the AirPort Express to Tsing Yi (1st stop) then changed to Orange Line for 1 stop to Lai King then Red Line to Mong Kok. It was then only a block from the subway exit. There is a huge shopping mall directly opposite the hotel, you can actually walk through that from hotel into the subway station. The room was tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed and lovely bed linen. The bathroom was wonderful with hot powerful shower and every amenity you would expect. We enjoyed the Executive Club Lounge. It was so pleasant to relax in, a reduced choice breakfast was served there (HUGE choice served in main dining area), then afternoon tea & snacks with a couple of hours of complimentary cocktails. The pool was wonderful, the weather was cold whilst we were in HK but the pool was nicely heated. I also used the sauna which, again was great! The staff were very kind, polite and helpful. We loved our relaxing stay at The Cordis and would recommend.
