The Chinese restaurant connected to hotel isn’t open at night, facilities aren’t the nicest with a broken oven outside our room but not a huge deal.

The area wasn’t the best. When we arrived there were two homeless people asleep outside but once we were inside we felt super safe. I would stay again for a lay over for la ceiba.

The room and the bathroom were really clean! There was drinking water in the reception and it felt safe as it was locked at all times.

- Location is good for the bus stop which was okay for us. But nothing else around, had to get a pizza delivered. There’s a restaurant onsite but was closed.

+ Air conditioning in rooms. For the price, it’s great to have. + Staff members were very friendly and helpful + Quiet and peaceful. Had good night sleep. + Free drinking water in reception.

They had to lock the hotel at night so you really couldn't leave. That's not unusual everywhere but I definitely prefer to be able to come and go whenever I want without having to wake anyone up to let me back in

Check in was easy. Like most people we stayed here the night before the ferry to Utilia so for that purpose, it had everything we needed. The aircon was also really good!

Not much to see in the area, but can take taxi to centre. Despite a massive room, no space to hang clothes!

Clean sheets, clean towels, clean room. No-thrills hotel, but perfect for a night before catching a bus (depending on the bus company) or ferry. Massive room! Very quiet, even so our room faced the bus station for chicken busses, Air conditioning. Hot water in the shower. Super friendly staff.

We arrived in La Ceiba at 8pm in a torrential downpour, the second we checked in the power went out and was out until the morning. So our experience at Hotel El Dorado isn’t really a fair one as the weather was not on our side! So we had no electricity, no WiFi, no AC and for some reason no water in the bathroom. However that was fixed relatively quickly. I have no idea if the location was good or not as we didn’t get the opportunity to explore. Our double room was big and towels were included, it was very cheap so it served a purpose. As a stop off before getting the ferry across to the islands it worked well.

The room was basic but comfortable. It had AC which was very welcome and the staff were helpful. The location was really good, just across from the bus station and a short taxi to the ferry terminal.

The hotel is in a really convenient location for getting around La Ceiba, near the bus station and a short taxi to the ferry terminal. There are supermarkets nearby and several places to eat. The rooms were comfortable with AC.

Don't have them call a taxi for you as they'll completely rip you off. Flag one down in the street.

Very very close to the San Jose bus station so it's ideal if you're arriving a bit later. There's a restaurant not too far for dinner. Room waw comfortable. It's absolutely fine for a night.

Once you get passed the cockroaches in reception, you’ll be ok.

Air-con, hot showers, great Wi-Fi. Everything you could possibly need for a one night stay before travelling to Roatan or Utila for a very reasonable price.

The doorknobs on the inside of the room and the towel rack/bar need to be tightened or reinstalled. I appreciated that there were chairs, but the table that accompanies them was too short and very rickety, partially broken.

We did not eat at the restaurant. There were a lot of cockroaches around the vicinity, and we were already planning to eat elsewhere. There are not a lot of restaurants that are within walking distance.

Perfect for a night before catching the ferry to Utila. The location is great and safe, the staf was super helpful and friendly. the room was clean, comfortable and pretty big. ATM and supermarkets nearby.

The area in which the hotel was located felt quite unsafe and we had to walk through a not very nice restaurant to leave the hotel.

Very cheap place, perfectly adequate for a one night stop in La Ceiba. Room seemed pretty clean and there was Aircon which was great as La Ceiba is very very hot
