The owner of the Guava Resort was very accomadating and friendly. The pool was lovely, and the beach was located just across the street. The restaurant on site served very yummy food. 10/10 recommended!!

The hotel is in the middle of nature, so it's very calm at night. The host is super nice and and gave us tips on how to move around Roatán and how to pay (like a local). The breakfast is also very nice and the location is fine. The rooms are comfortable and spacious.

We had the small room in the "basement", which was ok because that's what we paid for. The only thing we didn't like was the smell. It was sooooo strong. Our clothes smelt of it when we left. It came from the toilet cleaner puck in the bathroom but the whole place had the smell. I suggest another product be used in the toilet and the room would be totally fine!

The staff was absolutely amazing. I had read about how great Cheryl was in the reviews and when we got there, I heard she was away. Well, the two girls who were running the ship in her absence were so kind and accomodating! It was certainly the bnest service we'd had on the island! The food was also amazing and cheaper than in most restaurants on the island.

    no complains.

The settings of this boutique family resort are outstanding - gorgeous lush vegetation and so cozy, you will be reluctant to vent out. Every part of it is well-maintained, clean, and so inviting! The owners are attentive, kind, and ready to help you with ideas on where to go, what to see, book a taxi for you, or just chat, while you are enjoying your meal and drink by the swimming pool! I loved the breakfast included in the price of my room, prepared fresh every morning by the owner Cheryl. There is a nice beach three minutes from the property where you can go for a long walk, sunbathe, or admire the sunset. From the main road, you can flag the little minibusses to get you to the West end for just $1. The restaurant at the Guava Grove has fantastic local cuisine offerings - you have to try it! Fresh and tasty! I booked the small no frills room and I was quite contained with my choice! It was very private, had a separate entrance, and a lovely patio with a small table and chairs. However, if you have more than a carry-on, and want a kitchenette and more storage options choose a bigger room. Already planning a family trip soon! Thank you all Guava Grove Resort team!

Cheryl, Bish, and Jess were amazing hosts across our stay, Guava Grove is a hotel with the social vibes of a hostel that complement the stay pretty well. The room was amenity aplenty, comfortable. The restaurant food was also good. It also has a nearby supermarket and the hosts do provide a lift service. The hotel is also nearby some nice attractions such as an animal shelter, is a 5 min walk away from the beach, and a 5 min drive/30 min walk from West End. Overall, great value, great experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Guava Grove: The rooms are decent size with a good bed, shower, inside and outside seating area and fridge, and a nice view towards the forest and the sea! The central seating area looks fantastic next to the pool. In the pool you can sit at the bar and enjoy really good freshly made food and drinks. It's only a 5 minute walk to a quite beach where it takes another 5 minutes to swim to the coral reef. The west end restaurant area is a very short drive away. The owner Cheryl and her staff are all very pleasant.

Prior to arrival date, the staff was very communicative and full of information! Unfortunately, there was too much smoke to fly in so the workers closed the airport. however the staff was extremely inclusive of what was happening and refunded our non-refundable booking as a result. that’s excellent customers service!

The owner is very forthcoming and friendly. The hotel is good value for money, nicely decorated and cozy with good facilities including a bar, restaurant, swimming pool. Room had a kitchenette and fridge. It is a good 5 minutes stroll to the beach and a 15 minute taxi ride to West Bay beach. About 30 minutes to ferry terminal and a bit less to the airport.

    Lovely place in Roatan

The only downside is that it is a couple kilometers from West End and West Bay and the roads are not great for walking on (although I did walk it a few times). You need to take a taxi to get into town which is pretty easy but need to have cash on you and the right bills. So trying to make sure to have the cash for each trip to and from town (and we were back and forth diving so did quite a few trips) is something you need to plan into your day and allow extra time. Honestly overall it was worth it though to have a nice relaxing place to come home to each evening.

This place is so lovely and was a great base during out week in Roatan. It is a beautiful and tranquil property and a very nice change from the busy West End. We were here for a week for a diving trip and it was so nice to sit by the pool eating breakfast in the morning, so relaxing. Our room was great and totally sufficient for a couple. We had to work a couple days remote from there and the internet was totally fine.. slightly spotty at times but that is anywhere in Roatan for you. I was so glad we ended up here and it really made our whole trip more relaxing. Across the street you can walk down to the beach and there are a couple great restaurants nearby. All in all a great stay.

Sheryl's place is special. You'll be surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden and a pool with a swim-up bar, and its affordable as well! On a gentle sloping hill with peekaboo views of the ocean, and Sheryl makes a great Piña Colada from scratch right in front of you! Not 'touristy' and built for a longer stay/ex-pat style. Thank you, Sheryl!
