The beach is magnificent but sadly there’s a lot of rubbish and plastic washed ashore. A community drive to try and collect it would make a big difference.

Our lovely welcome and the lovely owner and staff who were very helpful despite our lack of Spanish! on out first night they arranged a very romantic table for us by the pool as we were their only guests! (the advantages of visiting out of season!) also the superb views from our room and bathroom of the ocean. Wow! oh and the hammocks.

The staff said no market till la ceiba, we met a very lovely lady who lives in the neighborhood literally a 5 minute walk who sells beers for a quarter of the price of the hotel and food. Did not have lampiras and lady took us on her motorcycle to a Market that took credit cards Maybe 7 minutes away, so loads of cheaper markets as the hotels beer and food is way over priced. The hotel has zero beach chairs and beach towels, excuse was that beach vehicles come by the beach which has nothing to do with the chairs. Bad mosquitoes at night. Very akward location for taxi drivers.

The owner was great but not around sadly. The staff was another story. One time they didn’t give us our change for a beer, another we asked for extra plantain and beans with the breakfast as I am vegetarian and was unable to eat almost everything on the menu. They not only tried to bring it to us that night but also charged us extra in the morning without even confirming it was extra. We got scammed by the staff to take a taxi to a store so I could buy fresh fruit for food. On top if it all we confirmed the night before for a late checkout for 2 pm which they said was okay. At 1 pm they came knocking demanding we leave right then because the taxi was there. We WERENT even packed and they only gave us 20 minutes to pack. We also needed to go to the ATM we though in La Ceiba and then to the Utila ferry and we discussed the price being 400 LPS. Not only did they then say 500 but would not let me speak with the owner. Finally they said okay to 400. We ended up not needing to go to La Ceiba for an atm and stopped at one along the way and arrived to ferry where they then tried to charge us 400 when the drive was cut in half. Overall super unimpressed and would like to speak with an owner ASAP.

The facilities were unbelievable! We are backpackers but went out of our budget for our anniversary. The room was immaculate. Exceptionally clean and comfortable! There was AC, unlimited hot water and the comfiest bed we had been in a long time. The balcony was spacious and the view was gorgeous. The pool was extremely well kept and cool enough that we could escape the sun but also warm enough we didn’t freeze. The view was fantastic and the private beach was cleaned from any garbage. 10/10 recommend this place solely for the facilities. We also spoke with the owner who was super kind and helpful!

Everything was perfect. I have no negative things to say about this place.

The property was extremely clean and located on the beach. The room with the beach view that I stayed in was extremely clean and comfortable. The food was great for every meal and it was served in very big portions.

So far I got nothing to comment here.

This is my second time at La Delphina and I enjoyed even more my stay here. I had an ocean view room which was very spacious, comfy bed, love the bathtub and its view and the bathroom was big enough and very clean. The room was well equipped with a mini fridge, coffee maker, water dispenser, a desk in case you need to do some work and a table with 2 chairs for having some room service. There was a small balcony where you could sit back and enjoy the sunset. I really loved everything about it . The hotel had had some improvements since the last time I was here. Now there's a game room with a pool, a foosball and a pinball table. The pool has a bubble and foam machine and everything else just looks very colorful with awesome murals. The staff and the owner Richard were very nice and friendly as always. I'd definitely come back to La Delphina if I'm making another trip to the north of Honduras.

The owner was extremely helpful with making us feel at home and arranging taxis. We had an unexpected change in our plans and wound up staying there, turns out we had a great 1 night and next day, he let us hang around after checkout until it was time to move to the next hotel. The food was really good, beer was very cold, everyone was really friendly, the owner was great to talk to, and they have a nice pool. When we arrived he didn't have the room we selected, so he upgraded us for the same price!!! The location is about 30 minutes from La Ceiba, but worth the ride because its very quiet, on the beach, and has everything there. Also, the shower has hot water, the room had great ac, lots of plugs for charging, and a very comfortable bed!!!

Food is ok, drinks are great. You won’t have a choice in breakfast they serve you whatever they want that morning. Attentive waitresses, beach was dirty
