There was nothing not to like - for me it was perfection If you don’t like stairs then this place and Split in general is not for you. Remember you are in a historic place. There will be stairs!!

We did have an issue with a damp smell in our room due to a recent storm, however the staff were very helpful is ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately they could not switch our room but they sufficiently compensated us and deep cleaned the room. The staff made the experience of our stay very enjoyable.

Staff were amazing . Very helpful. Location is perfect too . Near some amazing restaurants and away from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town but very close by. A two minute walk to the taxi rank too. They pool area is nice and relaxing. It is in the sun most of the day.

A lot of stairs.

The property is a heritage property, which has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are a good size (for Europe) with good bathrooms, great aircon and really clean. The views a great especially from the 3rd floor. The staff are exceptionally accomodating, helpful and friendly. Rooms have a kettle tea facilities. Well located in a quiet neighbourhood which is an easy walk to the centre of Spilt.

Very friendly staff. Helped carry all the bags from the parking lot to the top floor. Very clean rooms with a beautiful view. Exactly like in the pictures. Will recommend to friends and family.

Our only very minor issue was that our room was not cleaned for a couple of days, on the 2nd occasion we mentioned it to reception and they sorted it out for us very quickly

We had a Window but no privacy if we opened the curtain. No where to dry our towels or swimmers.

We liked having the pool. Location to restaurants. The staff were helpful. There was an In room safe.

Nothing, I would recommend to anyone going to split

The location was ideal, so close to the centre of the old town. Ideal location for anything and everything in Split. The pool was a huge bonus for us, especially in 30 degree heat. I was a wonderful place to cool down and chill out during the hottest midpoints of the day. The staff were exceptional and so accommodating to us. We arrived in after Midnight and they were so kind when we did arrive. The cleaning staff were exceptional at their jobs also!

Room could have been a bit bigger and could have been some more loungers around the pool. Also not a great selection of drinks and no food available.

Beds were comfy, the pool was great as there’s not many in that area. Staff were friendly and the location was amazing.

Pool was small and also quite cold that being said it was what I expected and the pool area was clean and well maintained. The room was a little on the small side for three when you have suitcases as it didn’t leave much room to move around

The stairs to the room are easily negotiated by a strong person carrying a case, they would be difficult for anyone who is frail, but there is plenty of help on offer.

The location is ideal - a two minute walk to the square, the rooms were spotless as was the hotel. The pool area was quiet and well served.

If I had to pick something which could be improved it would be more sun loungers but I understand a major refurb may be happening extending both the pool and the room number. We will be back for that.

The staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you. It is a very pretty, little hotel in a cobbled street above the marina. The outlook is beautifu,l with marina glimpses, and the rooms, while necessarily small being built into a steep bank, are well appointed and elegant and comfortable. Our room had a small sea view and a new, excellent shower room and good linen with toiletries. The real bonus was a pool nestled in the middle of stunning old houses. Being where it is, Agava has lots of steps and cobbles streets around it but it is five minutes from the action in the town. It is not one for the infirm but it is classy and stylish. A real find for us and definitely better than the three star rating it currently has. We would definitely stay here again mainly because of the staff and central location and pool.

The wardrobe was small and didn’t allow for any long hanging. Limited space to put clothes and suitcases.

The location was fabulous. It was quiet but within a few minutes walk of the sea front. The rooms were small but extremely clean and the en-suite facilities were excellent. The pool was a welcomed addition during the hot weather. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The restaurant used for breakfast was a 4 minute walk and served a good variety of food and drinks. Would definitely recommend this hidden gem.

All good, not really a negative but a couple more loungers squeezed round the pool.

It seemed a bit expensive for one night, however the whole country was expensive compared to previous years before the switch to the Euro.

Honestly can’t fault it!

Central location was perfect and very charming building, but secure. Loved the pool and rooms cleaned daily. Staff very friendly and always happy to help with directions, recommendations.
