Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SloveniaCertainly! Here's a glowing review for your stay at Hotel Bellevue in Trogir: I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Bellevue in Trogir, and I can't say enough about what an incredible experience it was. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the warm and welcoming staff who made me feel right at home. The hotel's attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction were evident in every aspect of my stay. The rooms were not only beautifully appointed but also impeccably clean and comfortable. I was treated to stunning views of the surrounding area, which only added to the overall charm of the hotel. What truly set Hotel Bellevue apart, though, was the exceptional level of service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was not only enjoyable but also memorable. Their genuine friendliness and eagerness to assist with any request made me feel like a valued guest. The location of the hotel is also worth mentioning. Situated in the picturesque town of Trogir, it provided easy access to the town's historic sites and vibrant atmosphere. I had the opportunity to explore the local culture and cuisine, all within walking distance from the hotel. In conclusion, Hotel Bellevue in Trogir is a gem that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking a remarkable hotel experience. The combination of outstanding staff, exquisite accommodations, and a prime location make it a top choice for travelers. I can't wait to return to this wonderful hotel in the future!

United KingdomNothing bad to say.
My most favourite thing about this hotel is the hard working staff who keep the place running seamlessly and spotlessly clean. Nothing is too much trouble, Ana and Katarina are just wonderful and kind people who are superb hosts also the ladies in the restaurant are are lovely too. On our arrival we were shown to our room, after freshening up we were invited to come back down to the bar for a complimentary drink and a cheese, meat and bread platter and the opportunity to look through the map of the area and recommendations for restaurants and trips (fantastic start to our holiday). Our room was very, very clean, the bed was comfortable, the fridge was great to keep drinks and snacks chilled and the air conditioning unit was a delightful in the heatwave - just perfect. We were on the 2nd floor near the terrace which we used and was nice to relax, take a drink and chat to fellow residents. This area was quiet so we were always able to find a free chair or sunbed. The restaurant was very clean and the food was really delicious; fresh fruit, breads, pastries, cakes as well as sausages, hams, cheese, cereal, pancakes and even a honeycomb also the coffee was really good. The staff were amazing in the restaurant and nothing was too much trouble (genuine lovely people). We were invited to a delicious complimentary traditional dinner during our 7 night stay (I had fish and my husband had a beef dish), which is a very nice touch and we both enjoyed, perfect to come back to after a 12 hour boat trip to Hvar and other islands. The hotel is a very short walk to the old town (only a few minutes) where there is a vast array of restaurants, ice-cream/cake shops and bars where you can sit and people watch. We saw some great entertainment/singers both in the main square and by the waterside. I would definitely recommend this hotel thank you for such a fabulous holiday Ana and your team. IrelandNothing. This place is the best.
We arrived on a late flight at 10 pm and were met with a fantastic welcome and even given some drinks and a plate of prosciutto and cheese. It was the perfect start to our holiday. Breakfast is delicious . Excellent location. Just a 5 minute walk to the old town. Every member of staff is so kind and helpful. We were even given a little picnic on our departure. Would definitely stay here again.

CanadaThe Bellevue is our go-to hotel in Croatia. It is convenient, close to the airport and the staff is extremely welcoming. We had a lovely breakfast and the rooms were very comfortable. It has close access to the town, the market and the grocery store, and the parking was very convenient. The welcome platter was a nice touch as well. The staff is excellent.

UkraineJust a tiny suggestion - a trash bin in the room would be very handy. There is one in the bathroom. But it is not always convenient to go there. When leaving the country I had quite an unpleasant conversation with the border police. It turned out that the hotel should have registered me as a tourist from a non-EU country. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't do it and didn't inform me.
Breakfast was fantastic. It had everything you could think of. The view from the breakfast room was just amazing. The room was quite small but it was perfectly clean. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything you asked for was done. We received snacks and drinks after check-in and it was a very pleasant bonus after a long trip. When leaving we bought fish on the market and the reception girl brought us lots of ice so that we could transport it safely.

United KingdomThe view from our room was a little dreary - a carpark, but that's a minor thing.
Our room was tastefully decorated and had everything to meet our needs with a comfortable armchair to relax in; a safe to keep your valuables in; and met our expectations. The location was amazing for visiting Trogir and for catching a ferry to Split (a wonderful hour spent on the sea for 7 Euros!). We stayed for 3 nights and were able to walk into the town for our evening meals and to meander through the little streets of the old town. Even though the hotel was on the main road we didn't hear any traffic at all. Anna and Katerina were incredible; they were helpful and super-friendly but not intrusive. We were looked after so well by them and they are a real asset to the hotel. I mentioned once that I was gluten-free and they accommodated me with gluten-free bread (which is not easy to get hold of in Croatia!). We could not fault our stay at this hotel.

SwedenThe furniture and decoration was a bit old fashioned and not to my taste, but definitely clean and well maintained. The size of the bed was a bit big for the size of the room , but it’s always a compromise , which is understandable.
I recently had tge pleasure of staying st Bollevue. And I must say the staff exceeded my expectations. The front team is genuinely welcoming and helpful. And the housekeeping made sure my room is well maintained. The restaurant staff made provided excellent service. We had a minor issue with air-conditioning which was addressed fast and staff made sure our room is cleaned and maintained after. We were offered a welcome drink, a memorable local dinner, and finally two sandwiches when checked out.

Anna and the staff did everything to make it perfect including little treats in the room and packed lunches when we went off on our travels. Always helpful with local information. Breakfast was amazing, almost every fruit you could think of in a beautiful breakfast room on the third floor overlooking the old town.

NetherlandsOne of the best hotel experiences we have had so far, very kind and hard working ladies, they really care a lot for their guests and you feel very welcome. Breakfast is excellent. Hotel is situated close to old town and can be easily walked. Car parking is behind the hotel, you can grab a ticket to open the barrier and the receptionist will be able to help you get out without paying.
